What are the minimum spend requirements and how do they vary by date?

Minimum spend varies significantly by date and demand. Examples include £2,000 (negotiated down from £2,500) for some events, £10,000-£20,000 for busy periods like July, and £12,500-£15,600 for popular dates. All minimum spends exclude 15% service charge and VAT, which are added on top.

What capacity limits apply to different areas of the venue?

The venue can accommodate up to 350 guests including the outside Coconut Grove area, or up to 250 guests in covered space only. The Bougainvillea Gallery (private room) holds up to 150 people and has its own minimum spend requirements.

How does VAT work for drinks - when is it included vs. added separately?

VAT is included when ordering individually from the bar throughout the event. However, if you choose a bespoke catering package created as a group, that package price is subject to additional VAT on top of the quoted price.

What are the different drinks package options and their costs?

Classic Package costs £45 per person for 2 hours or £60 for 3 hours (unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks). Premium Package is £50 for 2 hours or £75 for 3 hours (adds prosecco and single spirits). Luxury Package is £65 for 2 hours or £95 for 3 hours (adds selected cocktails including rum punch, mojitos, and espresso martinis on tap).

What food options are available and what do they cost?

Caribbean-themed canapés cost around £50 per person for 4-5 selections, including jerk chicken in coconut shells, mac & cheese, freetas, and mini doubles. Bowl food options include BBQ Bowl or Curry Bowl. Set menus are available at £65 per person including VAT, and buffet-style setups cost £60 per person with welcome drink, canapés, and mains buffet.

Can we bring our own DJ or play our own music?

Yes, you can play your own Spotify playlist and the venue offers DJ hire as an add-on service. DJ hire typically costs around £480 and is often included in package deals for larger events.

Are there any restrictions on fancy dress or special event requirements?

Fancy dress events are permitted. The venue is flexible with special requests and can accommodate various event styles from casual standing receptions to seated dinners, with both indoor and outdoor spaces available.

When is the venue closed and unavailable for bookings?

The venue is closed from January 11th and reopens on January 16th each year. During this closure period, no events can be hosted and alternative venues would need to be arranged.

What AV equipment is available and what does it cost?

AV setup including TV screens and microphones is available and typically included in larger packages. The venue can provide screens for presentations and microphone systems for speeches, though specific costs vary by event requirements.

How far in advance should we book and what's the booking process?
