Frequently asked questions

The Grand Temple costs £20,000 + VAT per day from 7am-11pm. This includes security and cleaning for the live event, plus access to The Tower Doors, Cloakroom, The Vestibules, and The Long Room. Extended hours until 2am are available for £750 per hour (late license not included in venue hire).

The Grand Temple accommodates 900 theatre-style with catering, 280 cabaret, 600 reception, 450 seated, or up to 1,350 theatre-style in the fixed seating. By installing a temporary floor over the seats, both seated and standing capacities can be significantly increased.

Due to venue licensing terms, concerts are not allowed at 60 Great Queen Street. However, musical theatre productions with live music are permitted, and the venue features a majestic Willis organ with organists available on request.

There is no AV equipment included in The Grand Temple - everything must be brought in by external suppliers. The venue has rigging points for weight up to 28 tonnes and can accommodate full technical setups for productions, presentations, and events.

Standard access is 7am-11pm, with rig/de-rig days available at 50% discount on venue hire. Late license until 2am is available for an additional £750 per hour. Additional breakout rooms and storage spaces are available upon request.

The venue works exclusively with Moving Venue as their catering partner. All catering must be arranged through them, and they can create tailored menus for any event format from elegant dinners to reception catering.

Guests enter through the iconic Bronze Tower Doors into the Grade II listed cloakroom, then ascend the marble staircase to The Vestibules for drinks reception, before entering The Grand Temple through dramatic doors for the main event. The Long Room is also available as additional space.

The venue cannot accommodate events requiring more than 1,300 guests total across all spaces. Events requiring 1,000-1,500 capacity with large stages may not be suitable due to space limitations, and all events must comply with venue licensing restrictions.

December is unavailable due to Christmas installations that won't work for most events. Weekend availability varies significantly, and the venue recommends booking well in advance. Site visits are highly recommended as the scale and atmosphere must be experienced in person.

The venue does not have box office facilities. If you're selling tickets for your event, you must arrange ticketing services independently through external providers.
