Unique Venue of the Month: Discover More at the Science Museum

Attracting 3.3 million visitors annually, and educating adults and children alike since its inception in 1857, the Science Museum is a world renowned, iconic venue. Typically, visitors are fascinated by the award winning exhibitions, interactive displays, and the endless stories of scientific discovery. But, what is possibly more exciting than the displays themselves, is that the Science Museum can be hired as an event space, meaning guests can immerse themselves in scientific discovery after hours, away from the hustle and bustle of London.

The Science Museum

Light up your next event with the brand new Illuminate space, opening 1st March 2019 at the Science Museum. This two-level space features panoramic windows, that give epic views of London. The natural daylight floods the space, which is proven to up levels of productivity, alongside LED and integrated technology, ideal for presentations, conferences, and corporate events.

However, this space can be used for more than just corporate events - the space is innovative; it is yours to create. Specialised lighting means that you have complete control of the look and feel of the event venue, making it perfectly suited to anything from dinners and parties, to award ceremonies and galas. Level 4 of Illuminate can hold up to 400 people standing, and Level 5 can hold up to 450 people. There is no need to fret about catering either, as they have a dedicated in-house catering team, Moving Venue, who will create bespoke, carefully curated menus, drawing on their knowledge of food trends, styling and seasonal ingredients.

Moving Venue

The discovery doesn't stop there, the Science Museum has heaps more venue spaces available for hire including its very own IMAX Theatre and a number of spaces are housed in the museum exhibitions themselves. Dinners and drinks receptions can be held in exhibits such as the Energy Hall, where up to 500 guests can relax and unwind with drinks whilst learning about Britain’s engineering history, or 300 guests can be transported in Exploring Space, for an out of this world experience, whilst learning about the epic space discovery.

Flight is newly available for both day and nighttime events. Imaginations can soar in this space, and guests can dine whilst being immersed in the history of aviation and the most influential figures in flight history. Styled as a replica aircraft hangar, the event space can hold up to 350 for a dinner event, and 400 guests for a reception.

Flights

Wonderlab is sure to fuel your guests' imagination with its seven interactive zones. Take a ride on the slide, head to the Chemistry Bar for a scientific cocktail, take part in explosive demonstrations and travel through space. A drinks reception or dinner is one you and your guests won't forget.
