7 Beautiful Banqueting Venues in London

If there's one thing that brings people together, and gets them excited to mingle, it's the prospect of a good meal - preferably in some beautiful surroundings!

We've listed some of our favourite banqueting venues, where feasting is foremost, so you can bring your guests together for a fabulously foodie affair. Be our guests, be our guests, and put our venue finding service to the test!

1. The Queen's House

Banqueting House

The Queen’s House, a former Royal Palace (there's a clue in the name!), is a unique venue that brings together history, elegance, and a touch of royal flair to make any banqueting event truly memorable.

Immerse yourself in the regal ambiance of the Great Hall, adorned with original black and white marble flooring, a space that's been used for this purpose for centuries!

2. The Royal Society

The Royal Society

We follow with another prestigious company – a British scientific academy whose venue, just off The Mall, has hosted some of the most important events in the scientific field. But it's not only open to doctorate physicists and chemists: it's also a public event venue with a capacity of up to 1,000, hosting receptions, launches and more.

An award-winning caterer is on hand for gastronomic needs, and room hire is available so that post-meal commutes home can stay within the five-minute bracket.

3. Ironmongers' Hall

Ironmongers' Hall

Step into the heraldic world of the Banqueting Hall at Ironmongers' Hall. This impressive room, adorned with fine stained glass windows, records the room's connection with the Monarchy and past Lord Mayor of London, can comfortably hold a seated lunch or dinner from 20 to 160 guests, with receptions and drinks being served in the Drawing Room.

The historic and versatile venue, built in the 1920s, exudes a country house feel in the heart of the City of London, offering a unique and historic backdrop for dining events.

4. The Inner Temple

The Inner Temple

Dining under the glistening chandeliers of the Inner Temple Hall, a venue that epitomizes grandeur and elegance, is quite the experience. With its stunning Georgian architecture and ornate details, the Inner Temple is one of the few remaining Georgian style event venues in the City of London, and boy does it feel like going back in time! Located in the heart of London's legal quarter, the Hall can be transformed to host dinners for up to 250 lucky guests, who are sure not to forget such a sumptuous event!

5. Searcys, The Gherkin

Searcys, The Gherkin

Already named after a foodstuff, The Gherkin should automatically be considered a prime dining venue for banquets. Searcys is located on the 39th and 40th floors of the pickle-shaped building, where 360-degree, scenic views over London are sure to impress. Various rooms are available for a wide range of fine-dining events, from breakfasts to three-course dinners, to five-course dégustation menus.

6. Lord's Cricket Ground

Lord's Cricket Ground

Found at the world-renowned Lord’s Cricket Ground, the Long Room stands as a symbol of elegance and tradition. This iconic space, through which international cricket players pass on their way to historic vivtories, offers a magnificent backdrop for elegant Christmas parties and private dining.

With its high, ornate ceilings and glass front, it exudes a charm that enhances any dining experience, while the adjoining Long Room Bar adds to the allure, serving as a characterful area for drinks receptions.

7. The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn

The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn

The historic Hall at The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn has been the heart of the Inn for its members since the 15th century. It seamlessly blends large space with intimacy, making it perfect for private dinners, drinks receptions, and evening parties for up to 150 guests.

This prestigious Central London venue, full of tradition and grandeur, is one of the city's hidden treasures, offering a unique and elegant setting for a private dining or banqueting event.

If all this talk of food has got your eyes as big as saucers (or dinner plates!), snap up the venue to match your appetite!
