Montalvo Arts Center's Lucas Artists Residency Program is a creative incubator supporting international artists in critical investigations of contemporary issues. Established in 1939, it provides uninterrupted time for artists to develop new work, encouraging collaboration and cross-disciplinary exploration. With a focus on diversity and inclusion, the program connects artists with the Bay Area and hosts over eighty artists annually.
