The Great Hall

A Dining room designed by Christopher Wren, the Great Hall is still used by the Chelsea Pensioners every day for breakfast and lunch. Available for evening hire, the Great Hall is the largest of the spaces at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. With its oak panelled walls and magnificent paintings of British monarchs, it is a truly stunning place to hold a seated dinner for up to 270 people.
Wren House
Capacity: Up to 60 Reception guests

Wren House offers a beautiful outlook over the South Grounds and onto the river Thames. It is the most versatile of all of our spaces and can be a blank canvas that can be dressed in any style. It has been used for various filming including recent Netflix dramas and photo shoots for newspaper editorials. Pricing for film and photo hire is done on a bespoke basis so please do get in touch to have a chat and organise a look round!
The State Apartments

With views of the Thames and Figure Court, the two beautifully designed rooms of the State Apartments have hosted gatherings attended by royalty for over 300 years. The Ornately decorated ceilings are surpassed only by the old master paintings by Van Dyke, Lely and Kneller. The two rooms together create a suite of elegant and versatile interiors perfect for a civil ceremony, a luxurious wedding breakfast, or to be dressed as you wish for a blessing. Figure Court can be used for drink receptions and outdoor space.

Wren Chapel

Wren's Baroque chapel sits at the heart of his original buildings and is a rare example of his pure ecclesiastical style, retaining the original wainscotting, pews and plasterwork. It is a perfect setting for concerts, Christmas carols and music recitals with the Hospital's professional choir and organist available for events. The Chapel is available to hire only in conjunction with another venue space and can seat up to 400 people. Sebastiano Ricci's mural 'The Resurrection' creates a stunning backdrop to this beautiful venue. The Chapel will be closed for refurbishment until July 2016.
Ranelagh Gardens

Home to the world famous Chelsea Flower Show, the picturesque Ranelagh Gardens make the perfect space for any outdoor event. Secluded, seasonal and adaptable the Gardens can be transformed with marquees to host a range of activities from barbecues and children's parties to theatrical performances and corporate team-building events. Made up of upper, middle and lower gardens, and available in the summer months of July August and September, Ranelagh is truly an oasis in the City.
Burton Court

Burton Court is a gated sports facility and green space at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. It is available for cricket pitch hire from June to September and is incredibly popular for charity and corporate cricket matches. The Pavilion at Burton Court was newly refurbished for the 2016 season and includes changing rooms and showers. There is a large area for a marquee which can be put up by one of our fantastic approved marquee suppliers. Our approved caterers can provide picnics, BBQ's and afternoon teas to complete the perfect outdoor summer event.
