Shakespeare's Globe

A stunning location just a stone’s throw away from London Bridge, the City, Tate Modern and Borough Market, on the banks of the River Thames. Shakespeare’s Globe is a unique and inspiring place with a reputation for delicious food, immaculate service, imaginative design and spectacular production. Each event is carefully arranged by our dedicated team of event planners, mixologist, chefs, and designers. This theatre was rebuilt in 1997 to be a working museum to Shakespeare so that people could see the his works they way they were supposed to be watched.

Balcony Room

Located on Southbank, with stunning views across the River Thames overlooking St. Paul's Cathedral, sits the Balcony Room in Shakespeare's Globe. The Balcony Room is versatile in design and is an ideal space for meetings, conferences, gala dinners, award ceremonies, receptions, Christmas parties and more. It is also licensed to hold weddings and civil ceremonies. Hire includes event planner, private and manned cloakroom, all furniture/linen/crockery, styled waiting staff and speakers for background music. It is an unforgettable venue that has played an important role in the history of London.

Bright and airy with large French windows opening onto a private balcony, couples are guaranteed stunning city views in this versatile & licensed events space. Full event management is provided by the Swan team, and your dedicated coordinator will work with you from start to finish, ensuring the whole process is seamless.

Bull Room

The Bull Room is an quaint spot for small, intimate wedding breakfasts, lunch or supper from 8 - 14 guests or 20 for a reception. The elegant glass and copper screen provides a level of privacy from the main restaurant without losing its atmosphere. This room was named after the huge blue-tiled bull mosaic that dominates one wall of the room. The Bull Room is double aspect and has large windows, with views over the Thames river as well as the Globe Theatre. Groups of 10 can dine from our a la carte menu while more will dine from our special group menu.

Our intimate private dining area located within the main Swan Restaurant, separated from the groundlings by an elegant glass and copper screen. Guests will be seated around one large oval table that is suitable for up to 14 guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner or the room can fit 20 guests for a larger reception. A bespoke bull mural brings colour and character into the room, as large double aspect windows overlook Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, River Thames and St Paul's Cathedral. River Room

The River Room is ideal for groups of minimum 20 and up to 40 guests dining or 60 standing for a drinks reception. This space inside Shakespeare's Globe restaurant is a popular choice for private dining, birthday parties, work lunches and Christmas parties. The room has an abundance of daylight that shines through its large double-aspect windows. These windows have stunning views of the Thames River and the building that surround the Globe. This room is the perfect, quirky place to have a celebration for anybody, but especially theatre lovers.

The River Room is situated within the main restaurant, separated by glass and copper screens. This elegant dining space can be booked for private functions which we operate on a minimum spend basis. There are gorgeous riverfront views from the large double-aspect windows. This room is the perfect place to have private dining for anyone, but theatre lovers will especially enjoy the proximity to Shakespeare's Globe. The room is decorated unusually with fake sheep heads taking most of one wall and a statue of a monkey, eating a banana in one corner.

Underglobe

Situated under the Globe Theatre, the Underglobe is a hidden gem in the heart of Bankside. The Underglobe has a museum exhibition dedicated to the history and the rebuilding of the Globe theatre running along the mezzanine. The private mezzanine level is perfect for arrival drinks, sweeping staircase, high ceilings, built in stage and a new surround sound and lighting system, this space is ready to be transformed for your stunning event. Ideal for gala dinners, award ceremonies, evening receptions and Christmas parties. The Underglobe is also licensed for wedding ceremonies.

The Underglobe is catered for in-house by our expert kitchen team, however also available for dry hire for Kosher and Asian weddings.

Perfect for awards dinner, charity fundraisers and gala evenings this impressive venue close to London Bridge and the City offers the most impressive back drop. All catering and styling is managed in-house, and each event benefits from a private mezzanine for arrival drinks, sweeping staircase, built in stage and high tech lighting and AV system. The private mezzanine also features a exhibition about the history and rebuilding of Shakespeare's Globe. The Exhibition has artifacts dug up from the build site, video and information about the construction, and props from plays.
