Recital Hall at UCSC Recital Hall

The Recital Hall at UCSC primarily serves the needs of the UCSC Music Department for classes, lectures, rehearsals, recordings, and performances. It hosts more than 85 performances and five recording projects annually, with few evenings or weekends unused. The hall is available for campus or community groups when not used by the Music Department, prioritizing musical events that suit the acoustical dynamics, complement music instruction, and benefit the campus community. During academic breaks, limited uses are available at higher fees due to student labor unavailability. Bookings for the academic year can be made after the Music Department's production schedule is finalized, typically by the end of February in the previous academic year. Requests should be submitted to the Music Production Supervisor in early February. Costs are subject to change until an agreement is made between the user and the Music Department.
