The Manor was built in 1795 as a private home. It was turned into a hotel during the 70's and finally became a solely Exclusive Use Accommodation and Celebration Retreat in 2027.
Every wedding here is different. We are not an event factory or typical hotel. The Manor is all about tailoring the experience to your every detail, from the menus to bespoke setup and itinerary. There is no event that is the same as the next with us.
Commonly, we look after groups for 2-4 days, with a bespoke itinerary but not at a crazy price tag. It is out passion to deliver more than guests could ever expect.

Yes. You can self-cater, supply your own drinks, or mix with our catering and bar service. Flexibility is built into every booking.
Is the Manor suitable for corporate retreats and leadership off-sites?
Absolutely. The Pavilion, AV setup, and multiple communal spaces support workshops, meetings, presentations, and team-building activities, all without scattering your group.
What makes McArthur Manor different from other large rental houses?
Most large houses are adapted from private homes. Our Manor is purpose-built for groups: everything from the Pavilion to bedroom layouts is designed so everyone can stay, connect, and relax together.
What about check-in and check-out times?
12pm check-in and 4pm checkout give your group more usable time. Most properties kick you out by late morning; we make sure the final day is part of the experience.
How private is the property?
Exclusive use. The Manor, Pavilion, and outdoor spaces are reserved for your group only. No other guests, no interruptions.
What about parking and accessibility?
Up to 22 cars can park on-site, plus an electric vehicle charger. Blairgowrie town centre is a 10-minute walk, and the property is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Edinburgh, and 1 hour and 45 minutes drive from Glasgow.
Can we host a mix of activities and events?
Yes. From Highland Games to whisky tastings, murder mysteries to movie nights, the Pavilion supports multiple activities simultaneously, letting your group flow naturally from work to play.
