Originally built as the gymnasium of the German school for girls, it has served various purposes, including being the concert hall of the predecessor of the Sibelius Academy. The ballroom is perfect for a variety of events such as dinner parties, breakfast seminars, conferences, PhD dissertation celebrations, and weddings. With a capacity to accommodate up to 120 guests, Rake Ballroom is a great choice for both private and business functions, having been available for hire since 1986. The space was renovated in 2007, and its AV equipment was updated in 2014, ensuring a modern and functional environment for any event.
