About Dry Hire Venues

Check out our top picks for dry hire venues in London. There are a lot of confusing terms in the venue game: DDR, minimum spend, wet hire and dry hire. It seems pretty instinctive that you would want your venue to be dry, right? But it doesn't actually refer to the state of the room - it's all about the catering.

When a London venue is 'Dry Hire', it means you only hire out the room: no catering, no drinks, just the space on its own. This is perfect for those looking to provide their own refreshments or outside catering, or for when catering isn't necessary. Ideal for Asian Weddings where speciality caterers have been booked, or for food and beverage product launches where you want to stock your own bar, “dry hire” is the right term to be using.
