The Rose Bar at The Bloomsbury Ballroom

The venue operates with minimum food and beverage spends that vary by day: Sunday/Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday offer the best rates, while Thursday/Friday/Saturday have significantly higher minimums due to The London Cabaret Club shows. For example, Saturday requires a minimum spend of £35,000 + VAT on F&B, while weekday rates start from £12,500 + VAT for Tuesday.

The Ballroom can accommodate up to 500 guests standing reception style, 300 guests seated banqueting style, or 350 guests in theatre style seating. The Rose Bar can be used as an additional catering area or breakout space to complement the main Ballroom.

In addition to minimum F&B spend, venue hire charges range from £5,000-£6,000 + VAT and include AV technician, security, cloakroom, and furniture. The in-house AV package (normally £2,500 + VAT) is included complimentary with venue hire.

Events on Thursday/Friday/Saturday require cancelling The London Cabaret Club shows, resulting in significantly higher costs. Friday dry hire is £21,000 + VAT, while Saturday minimum F&B spend is £35,000 + VAT, compared to much lower weekday rates.

The Ballroom includes comprehensive in-house AV: 6 projector walls, microphones, remote clicker, stage, multiple light settings, uplighters, and sound system. An AV technician is included with venue hire, and the equipment package (normally £2,500 + VAT) is complimentary.

Three-course meals start from £64 + VAT per person, with packages from £110 + VAT including welcome bubbly, meal, half bottle wine and water. Canapés start from £15 + VAT per person, while drinks packages range from £29.75 + VAT for 1-hour silver package to £72.50 + VAT for 4-hour gold package.

Standard access is from 10am with events ending at midnight. Earlier access is available for £500 + VAT per day, and late finishes beyond midnight incur additional charges - for example, extending to 2am costs £1,500 + VAT.

The venue does not hold spaces without confirmation - quotes specifically state 'the space is currently not on hold for you.' If clients don't respond within one week of follow-up, the venue releases the space assuming the booking is no longer required.

The venue allows external entertainment suppliers including casino tables and croupiers for themed events. DJ services are available from £450 + VAT, while entertainment options range from £2,400 + VAT to £10,000 + VAT for full shows.

Beyond minimum spend and venue hire, budget for: security and cloakroom (£915-£1,000 + VAT), DJ (£450 + VAT), additional AV technician for Rose Bar (£500 + VAT), late finish fees, and early access charges if required.
