Seminar Rooms

An opulent ground floor room with ornate features and a private terrace in a historic central London venue.

The Carlton Room on the ground floor used to be the smoking room of the United Service Club.  It is adorned with many rich decorative features including the dramatic Ionic columns in the centre of the room.  These are finished in scagliola; a skillful plaster treatment designed to imitate marble and add to the splendour in the room.  The walls are also covered by gold leaf on linen; a very expensive and delicate treatment enriching the overall impression of opulence.

The south facing doors open onto a private terrace with views across the garden.

Carlton Room

116 Pall Mall

Modern, adaptable event space in a historic arts centre. Suitable for large receptions and dinners.

In the Embankment Galleries, the whole venue can hold 800 for a standing reception. Our Mezzanine level can seat up to 340 for a dinner on rounds or 192 on a long table, and our East and West Galleries can hold around 300 standing in each space. 

Originally a barrel-vaulted bargehouse linked directly to the River Thames, the Embankment Galleries are now our most modern and adaptable events space. Spread over the ground floor and Mezzanine level of the South Wing, this network of rooms host annual exhibitions but as of September 2017 - February 2018 it is also available for private events.

The Dutch Hall

A grand historic hall in Central London for up to 2,000 guests, ideal for conferences and ceremonies.

The magnificent Great Hall stands as the centrepiece of Central Hall Westminster,
accommodating gatherings of up to 2,000 attendees. This cozy ambiance fosters optimal
interaction during AGMs, Conferences, and various special occasions, including Awards and
Graduation Ceremonies. The Great Hall seamlessly caters to diverse events, ranging from
classical candlelight concerts to keynote speakers, equipped with cutting-edge audio-visual
and sound systems. Noteworthy for housing the largest domed ceiling in Europe, this venue
offers a breathtaking setting.

Historic circular event space with a glass dome, ideal for dinners and parties up to 372 guests.

The Assembly Hall is a Grade II listed event space which was built in 1939, and designed by world-renowned architect, Sir Herbert Baker. 

Features include natural daylight, polished English oak panelling and the circular space's architectural focal point - a striking 30-foot glass dome. 

The iconic 519 square metre circular space with its ceiling height of 9.7m hosts Charity Fundraising Dinners, Awards Dinners, Private Dining, Christmas Parties, Summer Parties, and Gala Dinners for up to 372 guests, or dinner dances for 300.
