Canalside is located within Birmingham's iconic landmark, The Cube on Level 6 and is a blank canvas to make your mark. Surrounded by floor to ceiling glass windows, overlooking Birmingham's famous canal network. It is the perfect space for seminars, business meetings, staff training or product launches! Canalside can accommodate a maximum of 144 delegates in a cabaret layout with direct line sight to the state and a maximum of 176 delegates with restricted views and therefore repeater screens would be required. Alternatively, we can accommodate up to 250 delegates in a theatre layout.

Located on the floor above our reception, at IET: Austin Court is our Brindley Room. This cosy space may be small but provides a peaceful ambience and in-built technology to allow for stress-less and productive meetings and presentations. Great for interviews or boardroom discussions, The Brindley Room looks out across our landscaped garden and allows plenty of natural light into the room.
Another of our four floors of fascinating gallery space. This one is dedicated to the industrial heritage of Birmingham, complete with steam engines, cars and trains plus great views of our Spitfire and Hurricane planes. We can accommodate dining on this floor for up to 200 people or drinks receptions for 350. A fascinating and unusual space to entertain!
On Weekends the Pub is available for complete Private Hire. The customer can then choose whether to use just downstairs or whether they would like use of both floors. It is a perfect opportunity to hold a private party for a special occasion. With a Fully stocked bar serving a range of fantastic drinks and the opportunity to have catering from our in-house kitchen team, we can cater to all your needs. A state of the art Music system can allow the customer to play their own music and playlists over all rooms, or if they prefer a DJ can plug into the house speaker system.
The Events Room is ideal for smaller, intimate events, workshops, meetings, presentations, and seminars. It can host up to 40 people. The modern space is elegant yet comfortable for your colleagues and business needs. The catering is deliciously provided by Café Opus at Ikon.
