The Warren Suite is one of eight spaces available for hire in the completely refurbished Hallam Conference Centre. A traditional, Grade II listed building, the Hallam Conference Centre is a dignified, stately venue that is particularly suited to business events. The Warren Suite accommodates between 30 and 80 people for meetings, conferences, seminars, workshops, and trainings. Use of a PA system, free Wifi, wireless LAN connections, and AV support services are included in the hire. Our experienced event management team is always available and ready to help.

Fine room 1 is is the largest and the grandest of the Fine rooms. This white-walled blank canvas with high ceilings, natural daylight (blackout optional), fully integrated AV and high speed internet is suitable for all corporate and private functions, from conferences, seminars, live streamed presentation and IT training to fashion shows, product launches or a glamorous wedding reception, cocktail party or Bar Mitzvah. Located on the ground floor, the Lecture Theatre and Lower Library provides an inviting setting for conferences.

The Theatre was refurbished with help from the Society's Petroleum Group in 1999, and then again for the Bicentenary in 2007. It was named the Janet Watson Lecture Theatre in 2009, in honour of Professor Janet Vida Watson FRS (1923-1985), of Imperial College London, the Society's first woman President (1982-1984).

The Lower Library was originally the Society's Main Library. It is now mainly to store foreign periodicals and is used for social gatherings and for refreshments.
