Why University of London Venues is the Year-Round Destination for Jaw-Dropping Events

From summer parties to corporate away days, awards ceremonies to conferences… whatever the time of year, there’s always a big event in the diary that needs a show-stopping event venue to match.

Well, guess what? University of London Venues is the year-round destination you’ve been searching for. With a huge amount of indoor and outdoor space, access to a number of local parks in Bloomsbury and even the ability to shut down Malet Street for events, it’s got the pizzazz and the flexibility you need – no matter what the occasion!

Show-stopping spaces

Located in the iconic Senate House, University of London’s event spaces are bursting with art deco character.

As soon as your guests enter the Grade II* listed building, they’ll be greeted by Crush Hall’s striking marble backdrop and dramatic staircase. The hall is complimentary with the hire of either Beveridge Hall or Macmillan Hall, meaning that guests will receive an impressive welcome to events in either space. And the rest of the building is just as exciting.

From the elegant wood panelling and leather seating in the Senate Room to the English oak and bronze interior of Chancellor's Hall, every room and every corner is oozing sophistication. No matter which space you choose or what your event, it’s guaranteed to impress.

Fabulously flexible

With a massive amount of space both indoors and outdoors, University of London Venues is fabulously flexible.

Planning to host a conference? You’ll love Beveridge Hall, with its large stage area and capacity of up to 400 attendees, as well as excellent AV equipment and recording facilities. Fine dining or a gala dinner on the agenda? Beveridge Hall also provides ample space and an elegant setting for fine dining events of up to 200 guests, with stunning surroundings to complement the meal and innovative menus crafted by experienced in-house caterers.

MacMillan Hall is another great shout for fine dining, with elegant features, programmable lighting, and an ideal location right next to the main kitchen, making it the perfect spot for hosting a variety of events with catering. Not forgetting that both halls have the enviable addition of Crush Hall to set the scene!

And that’s not to mention the venue’s secluded outdoor gardens – an absolute godsend in summer months and a rare find in London’s zone 1. Ultimately, whatever your needs, there’s sure to be a space (or a few!) that suit – for those bigger events, you even have the option to shut down Malet Street!

A bloomin’ lovely location

The lovely Senate House is matched by an equally lovely location.

Known for being one of the nicest areas in the capital, Bloomsbury is an intellectual and cultural hub full of bookshops, cafes, Georgian townhouses, educational institutions and leafy garden squares. It’s also home to the British Museum – the largest museum in the UK – and Bloomsbury Publishing – the renowned publishers of the Harry Potter series!

Safe to say that this Zone 1 location isn’t just easy to reach on public transport (seriously, it’s only a 10-minute walk from Euston station and a 15-minute walk from King’s Cross!). It’s also a destination with tons to explore, perfect for any delegate travelling from outside the capital.

Go green

If the record temperatures this summer have taught us anything, it’s how we all need to do our bit to take care of the planet, now more than ever. So, you’ll be pleased to hear that University of London Venues is working hard to become a leading green events venue.

That’s right, its robust sustainability strategy has seen the venue house beehives on its estate, move to locally-sourced produce in its catering services, and put steps in place to reduce waste. Efforts that have earned it a Gold EcoSmart sustainability award from Greengage Solutions (the leading sustainability solutions provider for the events and travel industry)!

Of course, University of London Venues’ location in the centre of the capital also gives it a big green tick when it comes to sustainability. There are so many travel options, from nearby bus stops to tube and railway stations that your delegates are unlikely to need to travel by car – helping you to reduce your event’s carbon footprint even further.

Yep, this perfectly preserved 1930s venue has featured in some of your favourite movies and TV shows, including No Time to Die, The Dark Knight Rises and Nanny McPhee! Just picture your guests sipping champagne or digging into canapes in the same spot that stars of the big screen have stood in from Daniel Craig to Maggie Smith. Or, if you’re more of a bookworm than a film nut, think on the fact that this is the very setting that inspired the famous Ministry of Truth in George Orwell’s classic Nineteen Eighty-Four.

Now it’s your turn to inspire, with a jaw-dropping event that’s guaranteed to live on in your guests’ memories for years to come.

ESG Initiatives: Optics versus Impact
