More about Summer Party Venues
Summer is the perfect time to celebrate with friends, family and colleagues. And what better place to do it than in London? The city offers a wide variety of summer party venues, each with its own unique charm and features. So whether you're looking for an outdoor space with a scenic view or an indoor venue with great amenities, there's sure to be a venue in London that matches your needs perfectly. Here's all you need to know about finding the perfect summer party venue for your next event.
Types of summer party venues in London
If you're looking to host a summer bash, there are plenty of great options to choose from in London. Here are a few of our favourite types.
One popular option for summer events in London is to hire a rooftop bar. Rooftop bars offer a great opportunity for guests to soak in the summer sun while often enjoying stunning views of the city. This makes them especially perfect for corporate summer parties that are centred around drinks and canapes or private dining.
Arguably our all-time favourite is the Rooftop Terrace at Century Club. The largest in Soho, it can accommodate up to 180 people, boasts a large bar and best of all has a fully retractable roof! So, even if the heavens open, you'll still be able to enjoy this stylish bar in all its glory!
Garden venues are another fantastic outdoor option to allow you to make the most of the summer weather. You might be surprised to hear that London has no shortage of garden venues perfect for hosting a corporate summer party. If you're on the hunt for a relaxed space ideal for outdoor games and activities, you'll love the Artillery Garden at The HAC. With over five acres of garden space, it's got ample room for inflatable obstacle courses, bouncy castles, giant Jenga and more. Alternatively, the grand Courtyard at BMA House is a more formal setup simply made for a sophisticated drinks reception.
If you want to capitalise on that summary vibe while minimising the impact of wet weather, a conservatory or indoor garden can be a great compromise. You'll get all the access to nature that you would do outdoors, just with a roof over your head! One of the best summer party venues has to be The Conservatory at Barbican Centre. This oasis in the City of London is bursting with tropical plants and flooded with natural light. Plus, it can accommodate up to 150, making it the ideal location to party long into the night in the heart of summer.
If you want your next summer party venue to have a more traditional vibe, consider hosting your event at a pub. Pubs are typically located in convenient locations and offer a variety of amenities, such as food and drink options, to make your event more enjoyable. Plus, London beer gardens are great for enjoying the summer sun!
Looking for the perfect place to host your next summer party in London? Look no further than The Artillery Arms. Their private upstairs function room is ideal for groups of up to 50 guests, whether you're looking for a place to gather for drinks or a sit-down meal.
For a London summer venue with a unique twist, consider renting out a boat. Boats offer all the benefits of other summer party venues, such as scenic views and ample space for outdoor games and activities. However, they also provide a unique way to experience the city.
If you're looking for a sophisticated and wow-worthy option for your summer party, Cutty Sark might just be it. This ship was built in 1869 to carry tea from China, and today it stands as a majestic riverside landmark with sweeping views across the Thames. With exclusive hire of the entire ship, your guests can explore all three decks and enjoy drinks while taking in the stunning scenery.
Summer parties are also popular at sports grounds. Sports grounds offer a variety of benefits for party hosts, including ample space for outdoor games and activities, convenient locations, and access to a variety of food and drink options. Of all the sports grounds in London, you can't get much better than the renowned Community Track and Field at the former Olympic Stadium. The venue offers access to the stand seating, restrooms and changing facilities, making it ideal for team-building activities. Plus, it offers BBQ menu style catering - the perfect way to wind down after all the excitement!
Museum venues make great venues for a summer bash. They offer a variety of benefits for party hosts, including unique locations, memorable surroundings and convenient access to a variety of food and drink options. When looking for a summer party venue in London, the Museum Galleries at London Transport Museum provide a unique and interesting option. Guests can explore two floors of London's transport history, including interactive exhibitions and early tube carriages. There is even the opportunity for guests to experience what it would be like driving a train on the new Elizabeth Line!
