Private Party Venues FAQs

How much does it cost to hire a venue for a private party?

Most party venues will quote you a minimum spend, meaning the minimum commitment on food and beverage your guests will spend. This varies on a multitude of factors. Expect anywhere from £40pp and up.

What is the difference between private and semi-private?

A private space will be a fully contained room, separate from other guests or the public, usually separated with walls and doors. Semi-private will usually be a roped off area in a larger space or be connected in some way to other spaces.

Can I bring my own music when I hire the space for a party?

If the venue has a sound system for your room they will usually have a connector for your own mp3 player. It is always important to check - some venues have just one sound system for the full venue, so can't allow it.

What are some unique spaces for a small meal and party?

Some unique and interesting spaces for a private dinner party include The Masonic Temple at The Andaz Liverpool street, Victorian Bath House and The Private Dining Rooms at The Gherkin.

Can I bring in my own food for my private party?

If it is a dry hire venue you will more than likely be allowed to bring in your own food, or it will have to be from a preferred supplier list. If it is a venue that provides food themselves, you will have to order from them.

How much does it cost to hire a room for my party?

It depends on the venue and the time of year and also whether you are wanting your own private room or semi-private. Some venues may only charge a small fee but some may charge more, its normally done on a minimum spend which you use on food and drink.
