It depends on the size of the venue, how long you would like to hire it and the time of year as the demand changes. If you want to hire it for a whole day it will cost more, and some venues do half days.

Will the venue have a screen and projector?

Some venues will have a projector built in already or they may have it in-house to set up. This may be an additional fee but sometimes it can be included in the room hire.

Will the venue have a seperate area for catering?

Most venues who have the facilities for presentations will have a seperate area for guests to have some food & drink on arrival and throughout the event.
