Foyle 1 accommodates 100 guests in theatre style. Foyle 2 can seat 100 guests theatre style or 80 guests cabaret style (10 tables with 8 guests each). Both spaces are large and open with plenty of room for additional setups like exhibition stands or catering areas.

Foyle 1 includes a projector, large screen, and built-in speakers. Foyle 2 has two projectors and screens for excellent visibility, plus built-in speakers. Both spaces include lecterns, staging, and microphones within the hire fee. You need to supply your own laptop, though HDMI cables and Mac adaptors are available onsite.

The maximum is 30 exhibition stands across Foyle 2 and the Atrium (16 in Foyle 2, 14 in the Atrium). Events on Mondays when the museum is closed to the public require mandatory security to have the main doors opened and manned. This costs £187 +VAT and requires a separate signed agreement. The security charge is approximately £20 per hour as a general guide.

All daytime catering must be arranged through the in-house partner Searcys, who will provide menus and quotes directly. For evening events, you can choose from a list of approved external caterers. Catering is organized separately from venue hire and requires direct coordination with the catering team.

Deliveries and collections must be booked for the day of the event only. All packages must be labeled 'FAO Venue Hire National Army Museum' so security can alert the venue hire team. You must provide a list of expected couriers and which exhibitors they're delivering to.

To confirm a booking, you must complete and sign an order agreement with company details, contact information, and full address. The finance team will then send an invoice to the email address provided on the form. For Monday events, a separate security agreement must also be signed and returned.

Yes, registered charities receive a discount on venue hire fees. For example, evening hire of the Foyer and Atrium for a charity dinner was quoted at £4,352 +VAT (reflecting the charity discount) compared to the standard £3,790 +VAT for Atrium-only hire.

Day hire typically runs 09:00-17:00. Evening hire provides access from 17:30 when the museum closes to the public. The Atrium can only be hired on Mondays when the museum is closed if you need it as a public space during daytime hours, requiring the additional security charge.
