A large and versatile space, which has been designed to accommodate all types of daytime and evening events, including private and corporate events. The Foyle Centre comprises of four light lit spaces, and is available to hire whole, or in various set ups, allowing for plenty of breakout options. The rooms are a blank canvas for dry hire, ready to for you to be able create and set up the space for your own unique event. The flexibility of the space allows for various layouts, including theatre, cabaret and classroom style. Excellent AV facilities also allow for private screenings.



Frequently asked questions

Foyle 1 costs £1,730 +VAT for daytime hire (09:00-17:00). Foyle 2 costs £1,260 +VAT for the same period. Hiring both Foyle 1 and Foyle 2 together costs £2,530 +VAT. For larger events requiring Foyle 1, Foyle 2 and the Atrium combined, the cost is £6,320 +VAT for a full day.

Foyle 1 accommodates 100 guests in theatre style. Foyle 2 can seat 100 theatre style or 80 cabaret style (10 tables with 8 guests each). The Atrium holds up to 150 guests for standing receptions. The Boardroom seats up to 24 guests around the boardroom table or can accommodate round tables for standing reception space.

All Foyle Centre spaces include projectors, large screens, and built-in speakers at no additional cost. Lecterns, staging, and microphones are also provided within the hire fee if required. Foyle 2 has two projectors and screens for enhanced visibility. You need to supply your own laptop, which connects via HDMI cable (Mac adaptors available onsite).

Yes, events held on Mondays when the museum is closed to the public require mandatory security charges. Security costs £187 +VAT to have the main doors opened and manned throughout your hire. This is typically around £20 per hour as a guide, though exact costs depend on your event duration.

All daytime catering is provided exclusively by Searcys, the in-house catering partner. For evening events, you can choose from a list of approved external caterers or use Searcys. Catering is arranged directly with the chosen provider and is not included in venue hire fees.

The Atrium is available for evening hire from 17:30 (when the museum closes to the public) at £3,790 +VAT. The Boardroom evening hire costs £1,010 +VAT with access from 17:30. For larger evening events, the Foyer and Atrium combined cost £4,352 +VAT (charity discount rate shown).

The maximum number of exhibition stands across Foyle 2 and the Atrium is 30 total - 16 in Foyle 2 and 14 in the Atrium. Both spaces have numerous power outlets throughout, with at least one connection available per table. Extension cables are provided by the venue's IT team and will be safely taped down.

Deliveries and collections must be booked for the day of the event only. All packages must be labeled 'FAO Venue Hire National Army Museum' so security can alert the venue hire team upon arrival. You must provide a list of expected couriers and which exhibitors they're delivering to.

There is a small on-site car park ideal for deliveries, with access on the same floor as Foyle 1 and Foyle 2. The venue is located at Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea, London SW3 4HT. For events requiring the Atrium, access is only available from 17:30 when the museum closes to the public.
