Somerset House

Somerset House is home to the Nelson Staircase, one or two spectacular five-storey period staircases available for photo and film shoots. Set in a rotunda, the flowing Nelson Stair soars from the basement to the Navy Board Rooms and beyond, with plenty of eye-catching flourishes.

Yes, you heard us correctly, Captain Cook's Room. The stained glass windows and wooden panelling of the stairs offer the space a very elegant and classical feel - almost taking you back in time.
