Great Map
The main event space in the National Maritime Museum is the 'Great Map'. Set at mezzanine level and spanned by a glass roof, this event space is flooded with natural daylight and is ideal for corporate receptions, award ceremonies and networking. Whether you're looking for a seated gala dinner or a more relaxed standing bowl food affair, this epic space can accommodate up to 580 seated or 1000 standing. With some of the museum's most treasured items on display within the event space, or the option for guests to explore our engaging galleries, this is one event your guests won't forget.
Leopold Muller Lecture Theatre
The Leopold Muller Lecture Theatre is a purpose built space ideal for daytime and evening conferences, lectures, meetings and presentations within the National Maritime Museum. It is fully equipped with an extensive range of AV facilities, including a full HD projector, wireless microphones, 2 PTZ cameras, and moveable spotlights. The theatre is self-contained and accessible through the main museum galleries. Semi private catering facilities are available alongside in the Propeller Space and the Brasserie overlooking the park is ideal for a networking lunch. Breakout spaces are available.
Astronomy Photography Gallery
The Astronomy Photography Gallery is designed to celebrate the very best in astrophotography from around the world. The space provides a fun and atmospheric setting for anyone looking for an event space out of the ordinary. Each year the exhibition changes, allowing our clients to return again and again and marvel at the latest images. The space can accommodate up to 100 guests for a standing reception or it works as a great add on or VIP area for a larger event at the National Maritime Museum. East Wing Meeting Rooms
With a private entrance and exclusive access straight into the National Maritime Museum, this suite of four classic meeting rooms is available for individual or exclusive hire. Perfect for team days out, board meetings, small presentations and training days as well as for use as break-out rooms when using the Leopold Muller Lecture Theatre. With natural daylight, private bathrooms and refreshment areas, the East Wing Meeting Rooms are ideal for those looking for something a little different. South West Lawn and Colonnade
The lawns and colonnades provide our wedding clients with glorious outdoor space and views of Greenwich Park, the Royal Observatory and the London skyline. Watch the sunset with drinks under the colonnades before heading into the museum for your wedding breakfast. With the option for a marquee build, you can have dinners for up to 1000 outside or have a simple standing reception and soak up the warm evening rays.
