What are the venue hire costs for Kachette's different spaces?

Venue hire ranges from £2,250-£6,750+VAT per day for single-day hire depending on the space configuration. The Annex costs £2,750+VAT for 10am-midnight hire, while Arch 1 & 2 combined or full venue hire (all 3 spaces) reaches the higher end of the range. All prices exclude mandatory additional costs like cleaning and staffing.

What mandatory additional costs apply beyond the base venue hire?

External caterers and bar operators incur additional fees (amount depends on service level required). Post-hire cleaning is mandatory and costs £400-£480 depending on spaces used. Security staffing is required for events and varies by duration and guest numbers.

How does the booking and payment process work?

Kachette operates a no-obligation pencil system where your date can be challenged by other parties who may take precedence based on booking length and nature. To secure your date, you need a 50% deposit and signed contract, with the remaining balance due 1 month before your event.

What are the capacity limits and space configurations available?

The venue has 3 flexible spaces that can be hired individually or combined. The Annex is 1,500 sq ft and works well for smaller events (suggested for 40 guests in one example). Arch 1 & 2 can accommodate larger events, with the full venue suitable for events up to 450 guests depending on layout.

Can I use my own suppliers or must I use venue-preferred vendors?

You can use your own suppliers as it's available on a dry-hire basis, but external caterers and bar operators carry additional fees. Alternatively, you can work with their preferred suppliers list available at shoreditch.com/suppliers, with packaged options available that may be more cost-effective.

What's included in the base venue hire?

Base hire includes duty venue manager, AC and power in all rooms, 100Mbps dedicated fibre internet service, cloakroom rails and hangers, PA system, fixed bar structure (in Annex), and accessible bathroom facilities. The venue also features industrial lighting truss, catenary wire for hanging props, and polished concrete floors.

What are the typical event timings and access hours?

Standard hire periods run 10am-midnight for the Annex, with other configurations varying. Build access typically starts from 8am-9am for larger events, with de-rig extending until 5pm the following day. Events commonly run 6pm-midnight for evening parties or 9am-5pm for daytime conferences.

Are there any restrictions on event types or special requirements?

The venue is experienced with fashion shows, corporate events, pop-ups, and creative agency events, having hosted clients like Amazon, ASOS, and Coke. There's an allocated outdoor smoking area under Old Street billboards, disabled access, and loading bay access for larger setups.

What AV and technical capabilities are available?

The venue includes basic PA systems and has partnerships with technical suppliers like KSS Audio for full AV packages. There's 1 Gbps dedicated fibre internet, 3-phase power, white wall backdrop for projections and screenings, and industrial lighting truss for technical rigging.

Is there flexibility on pricing for different types of bookings?

Long-term hires have different rates than the standard daily pricing (rates not reflective of standard pricing for extended bookings).
