The Medal Room is situated on the first floor at the top of the staircase in the historic Armoury House. The light coloured walls and high ceilings create the perfect setting in which the fabulous display of military medals can take centre stage. The Medal Room is perfect for private dining, seminars, and meetings. The large windows let in plenty on natural light and allow the moving collection of medals awarded to HAC members to create an unforgettable backdrop to your event.



Frequently asked questions

The HAC requires a minimum of 80 guests for Christmas parties. Groups under 80 are not accommodated for Christmas events, as stated in their booking policy for the festive season.

The Long Room evening hire costs £4,500 + VAT for venue hire from 18:00-00:00, with a mandatory minimum catering spend of £3,500 + VAT. This minimum spend can be used for all food and drinks throughout your event.

The Bronze DDR Package costs £160 + VAT per person (minimum 164 delegates) and includes Prince Consort Rooms hire from 08:00-17:00, white or black table linen, standard AV package, arrival refreshments, mid-morning refreshments, working lunch, afternoon refreshments, and bottles of still and sparkling water. Total cost is approximately £26,240 + VAT including evening drinks minimum spend.

The Prince Consort Rooms can accommodate a maximum of 700 guests for standing events. For ceremonies, the space can hold up to 400 guests in theatre-style seating, while the West Albert Room supports up to 300 guests for drinks receptions.

Wedding venue hire for the Prince Consort Rooms costs £10,000 + VAT, with an additional Kitchen Buyout Fee of £1,000 + VAT. A Caterer Damage Deposit of £1,500 + VAT is required, paid directly by your caterer to The HAC and refundable after satisfactory post-event inspection.

Venue hire runs from 09:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with all guests required to vacate by midnight. The venue is only licensed until 3 PM on Sundays, though extensions may be possible through Islington Council. Suppliers have a maximum of 90 minutes to clear down after events.

Due to noise protocols, drinks receptions cannot be hosted outside after 9:00 PM or sunset, whichever is earlier. Terrace access for the West Albert Room is weather dependent and subject to these timing restrictions.

The HAC indicated they cannot accommodate events with budgets of £1,000-£2,000, suggesting their minimum viable budget threshold is significantly higher. Based on their package pricing, events typically require budgets starting from several thousand pounds plus VAT.

The venue experiences high volumes of enquiries and works to respond as quickly as possible. For detailed quotes, they require event date, estimated guest numbers, specific requirements, and budget guidance to provide tailored proposals and arrange site visits.
