The Wheatley Room is the perfect location for film and photography. With natural day light coming through the large windows, it offers a scenic view of the floor to ceiling book lined room. It can accommodate up to 60 people and is flexible to many different desired room lay outs. The high ceilings and open space make it the ideal location for photoshoots, promotional videos, film and documentary series.

The Wheatley Room (Film and Photo space) costs £1,800 + VAT for a full day hire (08:00-17:00). Weekend bookings require a minimum spend of £3,000 + VAT. The room has a maximum capacity of 72 people in cabaret style, 80 in theatre style, or 38 in boardroom layout.

The room includes an 80-inch LCD screen and lectern as standard. Additional equipment available for hire includes: PA system with 2 handheld microphones (£250), AV Technician for full event support (£950), 65-inch relay screen (£150), Hybrid Package (£1,000), and laptop (£150).

All catering has a minimum of 30 people and prices are per person, per serving, subject to VAT. Tea/coffee with biscuits costs £4.30, working lunch is £26.25, and the Working Lunch Package (includes 3 tea/coffee breaks plus lunch) is £38.85 per person.

No, external food or drink is not allowed into the venue. All catering must be provided by 1 Wimpole Street's in-house catering team.

The venue operates during standard business hours with events typically running 08:00-17:00. Evening events are available from 6:30pm-10pm, with service ending at 10pm to allow guests to wind down for departure. Access times may vary depending on other events in the building.

All quotes are valid for 5 days only. The venue does not automatically hold space when providing quotes - you must specifically request a temporary hold if needed. Site visits can be arranged to check room suitability before booking.
