What room layouts and capacities are available for events?

The Woburn Suite (G22/26) can accommodate up to 90 people in theatre layout or up to 50 people in cabaret layout. The venue also offers the Senate Room for £1,800 (08:00-17:00) which works well for AGMs and presentations. Room configurations include cabaret style with round tables, theatre seating, and classroom formats depending on the specific space booked.

What are the operating hours and earliest access times?

Standard venue hire operates from 08:00-18:00, with some flexibility for extended hours. The venue cannot accommodate requests for access before 06:00, and additional charges apply for catering service outside standard hours, including weekends. Setup time is typically included within the standard hire period.

What AV equipment is included and what additional options are available?

Standard AV package includes laptop/PC, data projector, screen, internet access, and up to 3 microphones depending on room size. For additional AV requirements beyond the standard package, you must contact ConferenceCast/Torpedo, the approved UoL AV provider. This includes enhanced sound systems, additional screens, recording equipment, and hybrid event capabilities.

What catering options are available and can external caterers be used?

In-house catering includes tea/coffee with biscuits (£4.75+VAT per person), working lunch (£15.50+VAT per person), sharing platters (from £19.95+VAT per person), and hot/cold buffet (£23.95+VAT per person). A 1-hour Senate drinks package costs £15.95 per person. The venue frequently has limited availability, particularly in June 2025 which shows no availability. Alternative dates offered include Tuesday 5th May 2026, Monday 11th May 2025, and Tuesday 12th May 2025.
