The Ante Room is situated on the ground floor of the historic Armoury House. Boasting beautiful views out into the Artillery Garden and an abundance of natural light through the large picture windows, this room is perfect for board meetings, seminars, small conferences, and private dining.

The Ante Room can be hired in conjunction with The Queen's Room that can be used as a catering space for your delegates, or a dining area for a meal while The Ante Room is used as a space for a welcome drinks reception for your guests.




Frequently asked questions

The HAC requires a minimum of 80 guests for Christmas parties. Groups under 80 are not accommodated for Christmas events, as stated in their booking policy for the festive season.

The Long Room Holly Jolly Festive Package costs £295.00 + VAT per person based on a minimum of 60 guests. This includes venue hire from 5pm to midnight, three-course festive menu, three hours unlimited drinks with bottomless sparkling wine in the first hour, DJ, dancefloor, and full festive theming.

The Long Room venue hire is £4,500 + VAT with a minimum catering spend of £3,500 + VAT. The minimum spend can be used for all food and drinks throughout your event, and hire typically runs from 18:00 to 00:00.

The Prince Consort Rooms can accommodate up to 700 guests for standing events. For seated events, the capacity varies depending on the layout required, and specific numbers should be confirmed based on your event format.

Wedding venue hire for the Prince Consort Rooms costs £10,000 + VAT, with an additional Kitchen Buyout Fee of £1,000 + VAT. A Caterer Damage Deposit of £1,500 + VAT is required, paid directly by your caterer and refundable after satisfactory post-event inspection.

Venue hire typically runs from 09:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with all guests required to vacate by midnight. The venue is only licensed until 3 PM on Sundays, though extensions may be possible through Islington Council, and suppliers have a maximum of 90 minutes to clear down after events.

Due to noise protocols, drinks receptions cannot be hosted outside after 9:00 PM or sunset, whichever is earlier. Outdoor terrace access is weather dependent, and specific outdoor capacity limitations apply depending on the space being used.

The Bronze DDR Package costs £160 + VAT per person based on a minimum of 164 delegates. This includes Prince Consort Rooms hire from 08:00 to 17:00, standard AV package, arrival refreshments, mid-morning refreshments, working lunch, afternoon refreshments, and water bottles throughout the day.

The HAC cannot accommodate events with budgets of £1,000-£2,000 as stated in their correspondence. Most corporate events and private dining experiences appear to require budgets starting from several thousand pounds, with wedding and large event packages ranging from £10,000+ upwards.
