The Generating Chamber is the smaller of our two main spaces but is still a generous sized space for a range of events. It was originally home to the generators for the power station. Retaining the period industrial features of the buildings former life, the exposed red brickwork creates a warm atmosphere complimented by natural light. The Generating Chamber is available as part of a whole building hire and can be used an exhibition space, guest catering area or drinks reception space.

Retaining the features and character of an imposing industrial space, the building began life as a Victorian Power Station in 1896. Located in the heart of Shoreditch & a few minutes walk away from Old Street tube station, these multi-functional spaces are suitable for all types of productions & events. Bigger corporate hires are most welcome! We are an unusual venue in that the building is also home to the National Centre for Circus Arts - a charity dedicated to supporting circus arts education & development. All revenue from commercial venue hire goes directly to the running of the centre.
