The Council Room is licensed for wedding ceremonies and is also used for wedding receptions.

Many of our brides and grooms opt for the Council Room as either a wedding ceremony space or wedding reception space due to the fact, the door situated between the Council and Music rooms makes these two rooms a great combination of ceremony and wedding breakfast spaces up to 70 guests.




Frequently asked questions

Wedding venue hire from 2pm until midnight starts from £4,825 VAT exempt for weekday hire or £7,175 VAT exempt for weekend hire, with supplier access from 12pm. There's currently a winter offer of £1,000 discount on venue hire for weddings taking place in October or November 2025.

For smaller weddings, 10 Carlton House Terrace includes private lobby, Council Room, Barnard Room and Radhakrishnan Room. For larger weddings up to 100 guests, 11 Carlton House Terrace includes private lobby, Gallery, Music Room and Beatrice Webb Room with maximum seated capacity of 100 for ceremony and dinner in the Beatrice Webb Room.

The Council Room is licensed for wedding ceremonies and can accommodate up to 70 guests for both ceremony and reception. The maximum seated capacity for ceremony and dinner is 100 guests in the Beatrice Webb Room at 11 Carlton House Terrace.

The venue has a detailed list of Approved Suppliers for Audio Visual, Production and Floristry, plus Recommended suppliers. Use of third-party suppliers outside of this approved list must be agreed in writing by 10-11 Carlton House Terrace before booking.

Searcys is the exclusive catering partner and can design bespoke menus including halal or South Asian inspired catering. They provide indicative costs in the wedding brochure and can accommodate dietary requirements and cultural preferences.

To process enquiries, contact details are retained and additional details may be requested for booking. Upon receipt of the signed hire agreement, a 50% deposit invoice is sent. You must wait to receive the invoice before making payment as you'll need to quote the invoice number.

The Music Room alone isn't suitable for dinner and drinks for 50 guests, requiring an additional room booking. The Council and Music rooms work well together due to a connecting door, making them ideal for ceremony and reception combinations up to 70 guests.

Guest number recommendations determine which Carlton House Terrace building (10 or 11) is suggested for hire. If numbers increase significantly, you may need to upgrade from 10 Carlton House Terrace to 11 Carlton House Terrace to accommodate larger parties up to 100 guests.

Venue hire includes access from 2pm until midnight, with supplier access for setup available from 12pm. For very early setup requirements before 8am, there's an additional catering fee of £300 + VAT per hour.

All venue hire rates are VAT exempt. Additional charges may include late catering fees after 11pm at £300 + VAT per hour, manned cloakroom (price on request), and potential fees for non-approved suppliers that require written agreement.
