Frequently asked questions

Studio II operates on a Daily Delegate Rate (DDR) of £150 per person for full-day meetings (08:00-17:00), which includes room hire, arrival tea/coffee, AM coffee breaks, working lunch with soft drinks, PM coffee break, unlimited water, LCD projector and screen, 1 flip chart, service charge, VAT, and table amenities. For evening events, there's a minimum spend requirement of £4,000 for private hire, plus 13.5% service charge.

Studio II can accommodate up to 66 guests for evening events like wedding receptions. For meetings, it handles 18+ people in boardroom style, with the space also available in cabaret style for larger groups. The venue has confirmed availability for groups ranging from 18 to 66 people depending on the event format.

Studio II includes a 65" LED plasma screen with connectors and clickers, plus 1 flip chart as standard. The space can be set up in boardroom style for meetings or cabaret style for training events. Additional AV equipment can be sourced through their preferred partner Elements AV or an external company of your choice.

For evening events with alcohol in the Basement space, security is mandatory at £26.40 per hour per security personnel, with 4 personnel required for 70-110 guests for a minimum of 6 hours each. A 13.5% service charge applies to all minimum spend bookings. Early setup access (before standard times) incurs a £3,000 room hire supplement.

Standard event hours appear to be 08:00-17:00 for meetings and 18:00-23:00 for evening events. Early setup access is available from 14:00 for evening events but requires an additional £3,000 supplement. The venue can accommodate events until 02:00 for special occasions like anniversary parties.

Set menu dining starts at £85 per person for the Private Dining Room. The DDR package includes comprehensive catering (arrival refreshments, coffee breaks, working lunch). For breakfast events, there's a set menu at £35 per person with a £700 minimum spend. Evening catering focuses on minimum spend requirements rather than per-person pricing.

The venue operates on option holds rather than confirmed bookings until contracts are signed. They require credit card guarantees for Private Dining Room bookings with a 7-day cancellation policy. For accommodation, cancellation charges range from 50% (366+ days) to 100% (0-3 working days before arrival).

Yes, Studio II includes exclusive access to a balcony overlooking the hotel's iconic lobby, which is ideal for welcome drinks or post-dinner socializing. This balcony area is also where arrival tea/coffee breaks are served during DDR packages, providing an elevated networking space.

The venue can accommodate loud music, dancing, and DJ setups for anniversary-style events. However, they have specific licensing requirements including mandatory security for basement events with alcohol service. The space is suitable for conferences, workshops, private dining, and celebrations, with natural lighting available.

If Studio II doesn't work, they offer a Private Dining Room for up to 14 people at £750 (compared to Studio II which wasn't available at that price for 18 people). There's also Studio I available for meetings, and the Basement space for larger evening events with different minimum spend requirements.
