Frequently asked questions

Weekend bookings have a minimum venue hire of £8,000 ex VAT. This applies to Saturday and Sunday events and is separate from catering and AV costs.

The minimum catering spend is £69.50 per person with a minimum of 250 guests required. For smaller events, there's a minimum food spend of £2,500 ex VAT based on 100 guests minimum.

The Assembly Hall is commonly used as the main dining space, with the Hoare Memorial Hall serving as the catering and drinks reception area. For larger events, the Bishop Partridge Hall may be added as additional catering or reception space.

AV packages start from £4,495 ex VAT for basic setups. The Assembly Hall AV package costs £3,995 ex VAT and includes projection screen, 4K laser projector, sound system, microphones, and technical support.

Popular dates book up quickly, with many dates showing as fully booked months in advance. If your preferred date is unavailable, the venue can suggest alternative dates or help find alternative venues through their network.

Events typically run from 8:30am to 5:00pm for day events, with evening events extending to 6:00pm or later. Setup access can be arranged the evening prior between 6:00pm-8:00pm for an additional charge.

Yes, the venue offers Day Delegate Rates (DDR) starting from £59,400 for 500 guests, which includes room hire, arrival refreshments, mid-morning and afternoon refreshments, and lunch. Individual room hire and catering can also be quoted separately.

The Assembly Hall can accommodate up to 350 people theatre style or cabaret style for dining events. When combined with the Hoare Memorial Hall and Bishop Partridge Hall, the venue can handle events for 250+ guests with separate dining and reception areas.

If the proposed costs exceed your budget, the venue sales team will work with you to find solutions or may suggest alternative venues that better fit your budget requirements. They have indicated flexibility in some cases depending on the event specifics.

Yes, filming is permitted at the venue. All filming enquiries are handled by a specialist colleague named Ben, and these requests are processed separately from standard event bookings.
