The Assembly Hall is a Grade II listed event space which was built in 1939, and designed by world-renowned architect, Sir Herbert Baker.

Features include natural daylight, polished English oak panelling and the circular space's architectural focal point - a striking 30-foot glass dome.

The iconic 519 square metre circular space with its ceiling height of 9.7m hosts Charity Fundraising Dinners, Awards Dinners, Private Dining, Christmas Parties, Summer Parties, and Gala Dinners for up to 372 guests, or dinner dances for 300.

The Assembly Hall costs £8,580 ex VAT for a full day hire (08:30-17:00). Additional spaces include Hoare Memorial Hall at £5,460 ex VAT, Bishop Partridge Hall at £4,578 ex VAT, and Harvey Goodwin Suite at £3,642 ex VAT. Weekend bookings have minimum venue hire requirements of £8,000 ex VAT.

There is a minimum catering spend of £69.50 ex VAT per person with a minimum of 250 guests for dinner events. For smaller events, the minimum spend is £43.50 ex VAT per person with a minimum of 100 guests. Day delegate rates start from £59,400 ex VAT for 500 guests including room hire and full catering.

The Assembly Hall can accommodate up to 372 guests for seated dining events or 300 for dinner dances. For cabaret style seating, it holds up to 200 people, and for theatre style presentations, it can seat up to 500 guests.

The standard Assembly Hall AV package costs £4,794 ex VAT and includes a 4K laser projector, 5.6m x 3.15m projection screen, 8-speaker sound system, lectern microphones, lapel microphones, stage lighting, sound engineer, and data video engineer. Additional AV options like gallery overflow speakers cost extra £420 ex VAT.

Events typically run from 08:30-17:00 for day events, with evening events extending to 22:00. Setup access the evening prior is available from 18:30-21:30 for £11,940 ex VAT, with the venue needing to be cleared by 22:00. Weekend bookings have different minimum spend requirements.

Catering is provided by Searcys using fresh, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients. Options include traditional afternoon tea, hot and cold breakfast buffets, standing fork buffets, bowl food, and formal sit-down dinners. Drinks receptions start from £29.50 ex VAT per person.

Yes, multiple spaces can be hired together. Common combinations include Assembly Hall for main dining with Hoare Memorial Hall for catering/reception space, and Bishop Partridge Hall for additional overflow. First floor exclusive hire is available for £21,535 ex VAT including Assembly Hall, Hoare Memorial Hall, Bishop Partridge Hall and additional rooms.

Bookings require checking availability first as popular dates fill up quickly. The venue offers proposals with detailed breakdowns of costs including room hire, catering minimums, and AV packages. Payment terms and deposit requirements are outlined in individual proposals, with all prices quoted excluding VAT.

For filming enquiries, there is a dedicated contact (Ben) who handles all filming requests separately from standard event bookings.
