The Radhakrishnan Room is situated on the Number 10 side of Carlton House Terrace at the rear of the building which overlooks Royal London and the Westminster area.

We host a wide range of events in the Radhakrishnan Room from wedding receptions and ceremonies to private boardroom meeting, exhibitions, filming, photo shoots, exhibitions, standing receptions and private dinners.

The rich history of the room, style of the 1820's inspired home and royal backdrop make this room a special hidden gem in Central London.

Venue hire rates start from £4,825 VAT exempt for weekday hire or £7,175 VAT exempt for weekend hire, covering 2pm until midnight with supplier access from 12pm. The venue comprises two former private houses - 10 Carlton House Terrace includes Council Room, Barnard Room and Radhakrishnan Room, while 11 Carlton House Terrace includes Gallery, Music Room and Beatrice Webb Room. Individual room hire ranges from £1,400-£1,750 VAT exempt for smaller spaces.

Maximum seated capacity for ceremony and dinner is 100 guests in the Beatrice Webb Room. The Music Room alone cannot accommodate dinner and drinks for 50 guests, requiring additional room booking. For standing receptions, the Reading Room holds up to 70 guests, while larger events can accommodate up to 150 guests split between multiple rooms.

Yes, there is a winter offer of £1,000 discount on venue hire for weddings taking place in October or November 2025. For last-minute bookings, a 20% discount on venue hire may be available. December bookings operate on a first-to-confirm basis due to high demand.

All catering is provided exclusively by Searcys, the in-house catering partner. There is a minimum evening spend of £1,000 + VAT for private dining events. Three-course dinners cost £66.50 + VAT per person, with wine packages at £27 + VAT per person including two glasses of prosecco and half bottle of house wine. Catering service before 8am incurs an additional £300 + VAT per hour charge.

The venue has a detailed list of Approved Suppliers for Audio Visual, Production, and Floristry, plus Recommended suppliers. Use of any third-party suppliers outside this approved list must be agreed in writing by the venue management. This applies to all external vendors including photographers, florists, and entertainment providers.

Upon signing the hire agreement, a 50% deposit invoice is generated and must be paid before the booking is confirmed. You must wait to receive the official invoice before making payment as you'll need to quote the invoice number. If a PO number is required, it must be provided before the deposit invoice is generated to avoid booking confirmation delays.

Searcys can provide halal catering and South Asian inspired menus, though they note they are not specialized in South Asian catering. The venue can accommodate various dietary requirements including vegetarian and vegan options, with healthy lifestyle menu options available marked as green leaf choices on their seasonal menus.

Organizer access is typically from 8:15am for daytime events, with supplier setup access from 12pm for wedding packages. Events can run until midnight as standard, with additional hours available at £500 VAT exempt per hour after 10pm. Earlier access at 7:30am may be possible but requires specific arrangement.

Some rooms cannot function independently - the Music Room alone is insufficient for dinner and drinks for 50+ guests and requires additional room booking. For larger events, dinner can be split between Beatrice Webb Room and Radhakrishnan Room with drinks and party in Gallery/Music Room. December events have limited flexibility due to high demand.

The Festive Dinner & DJ package costs £145 + VAT per person with a minimum of 55 guests. This includes sparkling wine on arrival, three-course dinner, half bottle of house wine per person, tea/coffee with mince pies, post-dinner nibbles, manned cloakroom, Christmas crackers, and DJ from Blank Canvas Entertainment. A 12-foot Christmas tree decorates the lobby during the festive season.
