Located on the lower ground floor but fully accessible, the Rennie Room has windows giving natural daylight to the space which is styled in a modern, minimalist theme. This, the light coloured walls and uncluttered space result in an ideal function space for meetings and presentations for between 36 to 100 people depending on the layout.

Room hire rates vary by space and duration - for example, the Council Room costs £1,900 for a full day (07:00-17:30) or £950 for a half day (07:00-13:00). For half-day sessions, minimum catering of tea, coffee and biscuits at £4.10 per person per serving is required. Full day delegate packages start at £96 per person including room hire, catering and basic AV equipment.

Capacity varies significantly by room and layout - the Council Room accommodates 50 theatre style or 40 cabaret style, while the Smeaton Room holds up to 100 theatre style or 60 boardroom style. The Great Hall can accommodate up to 200 theatre style, and the Telford Theatre seats up to 238 delegates with space for three wheelchairs.

Standard venue access is typically 07:00-17:30 for day events and 18:30-23:00 for evening events. Late extension fees apply: 11pm-midnight costs £500-£550, 11pm-1am costs £1,200-£1,300, and 11pm-2am costs £1,900. Show-round appointments are available Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:00pm.

Basic rooms include integral LED screens and projection facilities. The Telford Theatre includes comprehensive AV with technician, PA system, microphones, and recording facilities. Additional AV costs include LCD projector £135, handheld/lapel radio microphones £75 each, PA system £275, and technician services £500 for up to 10 hours.

Day delegate packages at £96 per person include full catering from arrival breakfast through afternoon refreshments. Individual items include tea/coffee with biscuits £4.10 per person per serving, sandwich lunch £25 per person, and 2-course buffet from £39 per person. Dinner packages start at £88.70 per person for 3-course meals with wine.

The venue prohibits naked flames and smoke for safety reasons. They work with a range of entertainment suppliers and can provide recommendations. External suppliers and entertainment options are available, but specific approval processes and restrictions may apply depending on the type of event and requirements.

Bookings can be provisionally held while clients make decisions. Show-rounds must be scheduled in advance and are not available for same-day requests. The venue requires advance notice for site visits, and during refurbishment periods, site visits may be limited. Specific payment terms and booking procedures are handled case-by-case.

Weddings are exclusively hosted on Saturdays and Sundays only, with a minimum of 100 guests required. The maximum capacity for dinner dance events is 220 guests. Wedding venue hire (excluding catering) starts at £13,800, and the venue provides dry hire proposals for wedding planning.

Bar setup within rooms costs £295 and includes 2-3 members of staff. Unlimited drinks packages range from £15 per person for 1 hour to £29 per person for 3 hours, covering house wines, beers, and soft drinks. Individual drinks pricing includes wines from £22 per bottle, sparkling wines from £28, and champagne from £58.

Most catering packages require minimum numbers - typically 30 delegates for dinner packages and 10 for lunch options. Day delegate packages and room hire rates are often based on specific minimum numbers. The venue can accommodate changes but pricing may be adjusted based on final attendance figures.
