The Telford Theatre, located on our first floor and fully accessible, is ideal for large conferences, presentations, lectures seminars, product launches, press conferences and AGMs. The dark wood pannelled room can accommodate up to 240 people and has a fully accessible stage with a lectern and a top table, both have in-built monitors and microphones. The stunning glassed domed roof allows a feeling of space and light in the room. Room hire includes the services of a technician and all standard audio visual equipment already installed in the room.

Pricing varies significantly by event type and room. Wedding venue hire starts at £13,800 (excluding catering) with a minimum of 100 guests. Dinner packages range from £88.70+VAT per person (no alcohol) to £128.40+VAT per person (with wine). Day delegate rates for conferences are £96.00+VAT per person including room hire, catering, and AV equipment. Room hire alone ranges from £850 for smaller spaces to £7,200 for the Great Hall.

Capacity varies by room and setup: Great Hall accommodates up to 400 guests or 200 theatre style, Telford Theatre seats 238 theatre style with wheelchair access, Council Room holds 80 for dinner or 50 theatre style, and Smeaton Room accommodates 100 theatre style or 60 boardroom style. Wedding dinner dance maximum is 220 guests, and some interconnected rooms like Council and Stephenson can accommodate up to 50 guests total when used together.

Standard event times vary by package but typically run 07:00-17:30 for conferences or 18:30-23:00 for dinners. Late extension fees apply: 11pm-midnight costs £500-£550, 11pm-1am costs £1,200-£1,300, and 11pm-2am costs £1,900. Half-day sessions are defined as 07:00-13:00, and the venue requires adequate time for setup and breakdown within your hired period.

Catering ranges from basic tea/coffee/biscuits at £4.10 per person to full dinner packages at £128.40+VAT per person. Sandwich lunches cost £25 per person (minimum 10 people), and canapés start at £12.50-£26.00 per person. For half-day sessions, tea, coffee, and biscuits must be ordered as minimum catering. All catering is based on minimum delegate numbers, typically 30-40 people depending on the package.

Telford Theatre includes comprehensive AV: technician, 10m x 3m projection screen, PA system, digital sound desk, hearing loop, PCs, handheld and lapel microphones, and recording facilities. Other rooms may include 86" LED screens. Additional AV costs include: PA system £275, handheld/lapel microphones £75 each, LCD projector £135, projection screen £25, and technician services £500 for up to 10 hours.

The venue prohibits naked flames and smoke for safety reasons. Entertainment suppliers are available through the venue's recommended partners. Weddings are exclusively hosted on Saturdays and Sundays only. The building is currently under refurbishment, so site visits are limited to Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:00pm, and some areas may have restricted access during the refurbishment period.

Show-round appointments are available Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:00pm, though availability can be limited and may require scheduling several days in advance. The venue offers provisional holds on dates while clients make decisions. Due to ongoing refurbishment, site visits are currently limited, and some dates may have restricted availability or require waitlist options.

Additional costs include: bar setup £295 per room (includes 2-3 staff members), pre-dinner canapés £12.50-£12.75 per person, choice menus £13.50-£15.00 per person, additional courses £10.50-£11.00 per person, and drinks packages from £15-£29 per person for 1-3 hours. Sparkling wine upgrades cost £2.40-£4.20 per person, while champagne upgrades cost £10.40-£15.60 per person.
