The Telford Theatre, located on our first floor and fully accessible, is ideal for large conferences, presentations, lectures seminars, product launches, press conferences and AGMs. The dark wood panelled room can accommodate up to 240 people and has a fully accessible stage with a lectern and a top table, both have in-built monitors and microphones. The stunning glassed domed roof allows a feeling of space and light in the room. Room hire includes the services of a technician and all standard audio visual equipment already installed in the room.

Room hire varies by space and duration - for example, the Council Room costs £1,900 for a full day (07:00-17:30) or £950 for a half day (07:00-13:00). For half-day sessions, minimum catering of tea, coffee and biscuits at £4.10 per person is required. Full day delegate packages start at £96 per person including room hire, all catering breaks, and basic AV equipment.

The Telford Theatre accommodates up to 238 delegates theatre style with space for three wheelchairs. The Council Room holds maximum 50 theatre style or 40 cabaret style (8 per table). The Smeaton Room accommodates up to 100 theatre style or 60 boardroom style, while smaller rooms like Palmer Room hold up to 40 cabaret style or 20-30 delegates.

The Telford Theatre includes a technician, 10m x 3m projection screen, PA system, digital sound desk, hearing loop, two handheld and one lapel microphone, recording facility, and comfort monitors. For other rooms, basic equipment like LCD projector costs £135, projection screen £25, and additional microphones £75 each. A technician for up to 10 hours costs £500.

Show-round appointments are available Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:00pm and must be scheduled in advance - same-day requests are typically declined. The building is currently under refurbishment, so site visits are limited. The venue requires advance booking for all show-rounds and cannot accommodate walk-in viewings.

Day delegate packages at £96 per person include arrival refreshments, mid-morning break, 2-course lunch, and afternoon refreshments. Individual items include tea/coffee/biscuits at £4.10 per serving, pastries at £8.60 per person, sandwich lunch at £25 per person, and juices at £5 per litre. Minimum catering requirements apply for half-day bookings.

Standard full day hire runs 07:00-17:30, half day is 07:00-13:00. Evening events typically run 18:30-23:00. Late extensions incur additional fees: 11pm-midnight costs £500-£550, 11pm-1am costs £1,200-£1,300, and 11pm-2am costs £1,900. The venue asks that hire periods cover all setup and breakdown requirements.

Multiple breakout rooms are available including Presidents Dining Room (18 boardroom style) at £625-£1,250 for half/full day, Palmer Room (20-30 cabaret) at £850-£1,800, Tredgold Room at £1,250-£1,300, and Stephenson Room at £1,300. Rooms can be configured for 15-30 people depending on layout requirements.

The venue prohibits naked flames and smoke for all events. Entertainment suppliers can be recommended by the venue team, and they work with a range of approved entertainment providers. All external suppliers and entertainment must be discussed and approved in advance with the events team.

Events can be provisionally held while clients make decisions, with some rooms available on waitlist basis when held by other clients. The venue requires confirmation of event details including timings and attendee numbers before finalizing quotes. Booking lead times vary, but advance planning is recommended especially for popular dates.

Most catering packages are based on minimum numbers - typically 10 for sandwich lunches, 30 for dinner packages, and 40 for some conference packages. Room hire rates may have minimum delegate requirements, particularly for catered events. Half-day sessions require minimum catering orders regardless of attendee numbers.
