Located on the ground floor of this award-winning Grade II listing venue, the Brunel room is fully accessible. Guests will be amazed by the walls which are covered with rich, dark French walnut panelling and the ceilings adorned by beautifully embellished plaster and lit by a large chandelier. The soft furnishings including recently-added curtains and carpets are well-appointed in reds, greens and golds which create a warm and luxurious feel. The Brunel room is connected to the Council room which allow flexibility in how the space is used should you have a drinks reception before your event.

Room hire varies by space and duration - examples include Council Room at £1,900 for 7:00-17:30, Smeaton Room at £2,600 for 10:00-15:00, and Great Hall at £7,200 for 14:00-23:00. Half-day sessions (7:00-13:00) have reduced rates like Council Room at £950. For half-day bookings, minimum catering of tea, coffee and biscuits at £4.10 per person is required.

Capacities vary significantly by room and setup: Council Room holds 80 seated dinner/50 theatre/40 cabaret, Smeaton Room accommodates 100 theatre/60 boardroom, Great Hall fits 200 theatre for fashion shows, and Telford Theatre seats 238 theatre style with wheelchair access. Wedding dinner dance maximum is 220 guests, and seated dinner events can accommodate up to 260 maximum.

Day Delegate Rate is £96-£120 per person including room hire, all-day catering and AV. Dinner packages range from £88.70 (no alcohol) to £128.40 per person including 3-course meal, wine and room hire. Christmas packages are £129.60 per person. Canapés cost £12.50-£26 per person, and unlimited drinks packages range from £15 (1 hour) to £29 (3 hours).

Standard events end at 23:00, with late extensions available: 11pm-midnight costs £500-£550, 11pm-1am costs £1,200-£1,300, and 11pm-2am costs £1,900. Show-round appointments are available Monday-Friday 9:30am-5:00pm. The building is currently under refurbishment, so site visits are limited.

No naked flames, smoke, or similar hazardous materials are permitted for decorations. The venue works with a range of entertainment suppliers and can provide recommendations. Bar setup within rooms costs £295 and includes 2-3 staff members depending on the room.

Weddings are exclusively hosted on Saturdays and Sundays only - weekday weddings are not available. Minimum guest count is 100 people, with venue hire starting at £13,800 excluding catering. Maximum capacity for wedding dinner dance is 220 guests. Dry hire proposals are available for wedding receptions.

Telford Theatre includes comprehensive AV: 10m x 3m projection screen, PA system, digital sound desk, handheld and lapel microphones, technician, and recording facilities. Other rooms may include 86" LED screens. Additional AV costs include PA system £275, radio microphones £75 each, LCD projector £135, and technician up to 10 hours £500.

Spaces can be provisionally held while clients make decisions, with some rooms available on waitlist basis when held by other clients. The venue requires confirmation to arrange provisional holds. All rates exclude VAT, and minimum delegate numbers apply for catering (typically 30-40 people depending on the package).

Popular combinations include Council Room with Stephenson Room (interconnected for up to 50 guests total), Smeaton Room with Brunel Room for catering, and Great Hall with multiple breakout rooms. Fashion shows can use Great Hall with Telford Theatre as dressing room, Library for makeup, and Smeaton/Brunel for reception areas.

The period of hire shown includes total access time, and clients must ensure this covers setup and breakdown requirements. Events typically need access from 4:00pm for 6:00pm start times. Service time for lunch and dinner events is 3 hours from drinks reception start until coffee is served, with £25 per table per half-hour charges for overruns.
