Recently refurbished and voted the most comfortable cinema in London, Cinema 1 boasts state of the art data and video projection supported by the Barbican's in-house technical team. A new feature in Cinema 1 is the ability to suit the room to the client's needs by colour washing the room with colours of their choosing. Cinema 1 is also the ideal venue for private film screenings, and can be combined with a dinner or drinks in the Garden Room and Conservatory.

Cinema 1 has a total capacity of 280 people in raked auditorium seating. The venue is described as recently refurbished and voted the most comfortable cinema in London, making it ideal for private film screenings and presentations.

Standard day hire runs 08:30-17:00 and evening hire runs 17:30-23:00. Tenancy times include set up and de-rig, with recommendations of 1.5 hours for set up and 30 minutes for de-rig. Additional hours beyond standard times are available - speak to your sales contact for pricing.

Invoices must be paid prior to the event going ahead. A signed contract is also required before the event can proceed. The venue requires both payment and contract completion as mandatory prerequisites for all bookings.

Beyond the included 4K cinema projector and PA system, additional options include 55" LCD screens from £216+VAT and PA system with microphone from £122+VAT. The venue's in-house technical team provides state-of-the-art data and video projection support.

The Barbican Centre was built after Barbican Estate which is a housing complex situated in an area that was bombed heavily in WWII.
