Manchester Hall

The largest of the museum’s Venue Hire spaces; the brick and terracotta Engine Hall features vast arched windows, a vaulted glass ceiling, polished concrete floor and other original heritage features including colourful Pilkington tiles and intricate metal work. An intimate, historic chamber in the Whitworth Building, ideal for weddings and ceremonial events.

The Whitworth Council Chamber was originally a grand venue for meetings within John Owen's College, and now the University's Council. Today it hosts meetings for the University's Senate and Board of Governors, as well as other key ceremonial events. 

This intimate setting creates the perfect atmosphere for wedding, with up to 70 of your nearest and dearest to witness this ceremonial occasion. Set within the Whitworth Building, the secluded Council Chamber is a historical point of interest, soaked in beauty and charisma.
