A vast, historic event space with exposed brick and modern amenities for diverse functions.

New for 2023, The Tobacco Stores represent the epitome of innovation. Recently converted into two areas, the 1858sqm space is intertwined with exposed brickwork, floor-to-ceiling windows, original archways and ancient steel columns. 

It's two adjoining spaces can be cordoned off to differentiate activity and consists of a fully-integrated kitchen and extensive PA system including 20 giant projector screen. It's vast size allows for a myriad of uses across day and night from team building, to private functions, to contemporary product launches.

Versatile ground floor suite with natural light, air conditioning, and staging. Ideal for events.

The Alexandra Suite which is situated on the ground floor benefits from natural light, air conditioning and disabled access and also has three phase power.

It is a very versatile space which can be dressed up or down for any private or corporate banqueting event and comes with 10 pieces of staging, each measuring 8ft x 4ft.

There are a number of ceiling rigging points and we can also offer pin spot table lighting.

A grand, restored gothic space for large events in East Manchester. Ideal for banquets and receptions.

The Great Nave at The Monastery Manchester is a large, beautiful space that’s also very functional and flexible, catering for a wide range of events including Christmas parties, private dining, banqueting or large-scale drinks receptions.  This spectacular piece of ecclesiastical architecture has been restored to its former glory. The room can accommodate 450 guests in a banqueting style, or 320 people in a cabaret style.

The Great Nave is an ideal venue for couples who want to create their own wedding theme, color scheme, and season, without any restrictions. It is a spacious and flexible space that can accommodate a variety of event styles and sizes, making it suitable for corporate events, multi-faith weddings, LGBTQ+ weddings, and exclusive use venue hire. The venue hire price per day and per hour is available upon request. To arrange a personal tour or discuss holding an event at The Monastery, visitors can contact the venue directly. The Great Nave is a unique and historic venue that offers a one-of-a-kind experience for couples looking to celebrate their special day in a truly memorable setting.

New Century Hall is an exquisitely restored open-plan events hall suitable for parties, conferences, gigs, exhibitions, conventions, and private dinners. The venue has a rich history, hosting iconic acts like The Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix. It features original mid-century features, a sprung maple dance floor, wooden panelling, and a restored 'disco ceiling' creating an immersive environment. With a flexible layout and state-of-the-art facilities including a sound system, production, and lighting, it can cater to various event needs. The space can accommodate up to 1,300 people.
