Named after Alfred Waterhouse, an architect best know for his design for Manchester Town Hall and London's Natural History Museum.

If a larger area is required partitions between other spaces can be removed, or additional spaces can be hired in the Halle Conference Centre for use as breakout and refreshment areas. If required, delegates can enjoy luscious working lunches, sandwich or deli platters, fork buffets or sit down dinners from the hotel's superb restaurant.

Ballroom 1 / Ballroom 2 also comes with its own Pre Function area just outside the room. This area has comfortable seating and occasional tables, and is perfect for registration, refreshments and catering. There is also a fully stocked bar in this area. It is a large open landing area, which boasts views over the River Irwell and Calatrava Bridge. It is the perfect space for pre-dinner drinks/exhibition stands.

Baronial Hall offers an unbeatable atmosphere for your wedding ceremony or reception.  From the sunlit Gothic windows, to the inglenook fireplace, the Baronial Hall's stunning original features will be a gorgeous backdrop to your special day.  The space is ideal for ceremonies, and can be rearranged for dinner following a reception in the impressive Association Room opposite.  You could also sign the register or even hold the ceremony in the neighbouring Chetham's Library - the oldest public library in the English-speaking world.
