Your guide to venues in Moorgate
Moorgate is a central London neighbourhood just north of the City of London. The name Moorgate derives from the medieval Moor Gate, one of the original gates in the city wall. The area has a long history dating back to Roman times, when it was known as Londinium. In more recent times, Moorgate has become known as a major financial district and home to many large businesses and banks. Other points of interest here include the Museum of London, Barbican Centre and world-renowned St Paul's Cathedral. It is also a popular place for events and conferences, due to its central location, variety of venues and excellent transport links to the rest of the city via tube, train or bus. Whether you want to hold a corporate event or private party, Moorgate delivers in spades. In addition to diverse event spaces, the area is also home to several parks, including Finsbury Circus and Moorgate Gardens, which offer a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.
