The Top 3 Christmassy City Bars In London

It’s getting cold… and fast. To cheer you all up, Hire Space has decided to look ahead to Christmas Party season. James Roche brings you three top city bars for a Christmas Party!

Steam Wine Bar

Contrary to popular belief, the term “steaming drunk” did not originate from this magnificent, independently owned bar in the heart of London. Then again, with a full bar inclusive of wines from international producers, as well as tasty, boutique beers and an extensive spirit range, it’s not hard to see how one could draw such a conclusion.

With excellent transport links, quality food and wine and ample event experience, the team at Steam Bar will ensure that all aspects of your evening are taken care of. Whether you’re hosting an intimate, sit-down dinner or a grand celebration/private party, this events venue has all bases covered for your Christmas Party this year

Remember: ‘tis the season to get steamy! And if you're Christmas schedule is jam packed already, don't forget - this great space is available all year round

Bounce Holborn

When I turned up to Kevin Jacobs’ 12th birthday party with my ping pong racquet, a bottle of juice and a boom box, I was laughed at mercilessly. Oh, how times have changed.

Replace the boom box with a plug-and-play iPad docking station and state-of-the-art integrated karaoke system, add some vodka to the juice, provide a few tables for a ping pong tournament and you’ve got one ultra-cool Christmas Party venue – you’ve got Bounce!

Located on the verified site that Ping Pong was first invented by Jaques and Son in 1901 (yes, really), this 100-person-capacity venue features a restaurant, bar and private room.

While your Christmas Party is unlikely to feature the impossibly attractive Mrs Jacobs serving up sausage rolls and a healthy dose of cleavage, you will be more than content sampling from the impressive cocktail menu and range of superb, wood-fired pizzas. Whether you’re looking for a trendy, alternative venue for your Christmas Party or like me, you’re just trying to get over a ping-pong-related episode of childhood trauma, look no further than Bounce

Apples and Pears

Apples and Pears

Speaking of cool unusual venues, one has to make mention of the quirky East London bar space: Apples and Pears.

With a classic, long Japanese cocktail bar, individual vintage seating and first-class DJ and sound equipment, you’ve got an events space tailor-made for your 2013 Christmas Party.

Just minutes from Aldgate East Railway Station, Apples and Pears has a history of hosting lively, fun-filled events and provides a host of options for your special evening. You can arrange exclusive hire of the whole venue or have access to your own, private bar. Likely to be stuck next to the dull, Mike from Accounts all evening? Fear not – the infamous cocktail teapots are guaranteed to lubricate even the most awkward of work chats and social situations.

There you have it – three terrific city bars that should be right on top of your list of potential Christmas Party venues. Check out our website for more information on these excellent spaces or any of other venues.
