7 Stunning London Wedding Venues for 2018

Planning a wedding can put a lot on your plate and I'm not just talking about all the cake you had at the tasting session. Life is stressful enough without having to worry about the caterer, the flowers, the in-laws or the fact your partner is determined to have dachshunds for ring-bearers. Add to this, finding the perfect venue to make everything come together and you've got a perfect storm that not even four of those bespoke gin cocktails you'll be serving at the reception will take the edge off.

So let us help, our Venue Experts have picked some of their favourite venues that will ensure that the only hitch on your wedding day is yours. If there's nothing here that takes your fancy, enquire with us and the team are ready to find you a venue that matches you dreams exactly.

1. Grange St Paul's Hotel

Grange St Paul's Hotel

You've guessed it: St Paul's is the iconic location for this modern, five-star hotel that oozes the luxury that's needed both for receptions and for the ceremonies themselves. Spaces such as the Wren Room and Shakespeare Room naturally suggest their grandeur, and al-fresco spaces complement the indoor areas for summer marriages. It's also a chance to stay in the beautiful property, with complimentary stays for the couple to be.

2. Theatre Royal Drury Lane

Theatre Royal Drury Lane

For another type of grand, let your guests take in the thespian tradition of the Theatre Royal, a Grade-I listed building where actors have been entertaining audiences since the 1600s. Said to be haunted by the "Man in Grey" and other mysterious characters, the venue still charms the public, now hosting a production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The adjoining Grand Saloon is hireable as a wedding space, wowing with a majestic staircase and Upper Rotunda; guests can later shuffle out and enjoy canapés and cocktails on the scenic terrace.

3. Asylum

Asylum

If quirky is the way you're going, South London's Asylum is certainly worth a look. Licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies, the Grade-II listed building welcomes guests for the life-changing vows, taking place in The Chapel, which has existed since 1827. Getting married at the Peckham venue allows the bride and groom to choose their flowers, candles and decorations, while toasts, canapés and photographs can all be added to an Asylum package.

4. Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens

Carrying on the theme of beautifully unique venues we arrive at Kew Gardens. This botanical paradise invites you to host your wedding day among the lush gardens and beautiful glass houses of this unforgettable setting. You can treat up to 200 of your nearest and dearest to a wedding day amongst Kew's celebration of nature's beauty and diversity.

5. RSA House

RSA House

Winner of the Hire Space Award for Best Wedding Venue, the Great Hall at RSA House is a stunning space. Perfect for those looking for true elegance for their ceremony. The venue is packed with history and tradition reflected in the grand architecture of the space. For ceremonies in the Great Hall you can host up to 140 guests before enjoying a reception in one of RSA House's other gorgeous spaces.

6. Institute of Contemporary Arts

Institute of Contemporary Arts

Enjoying an ultra-central location just off The Mall, this well-respected artistic institute is housed in a refined and culturally significant 18th-Century building that welcomes up to 150 guests for wedding receptions. Flower arrangements and live music can be arranged to suit the couple's needs, all in the dedicated and creative party-room space. Screens, art studios and a theatre room are also available in case weddings take an especially artistic turn.

7. The Southbank Centre

The Southbank Centre

The Weston Roof pavilion at the Southbank Centre is a hugely popular Wedding venue thanks to its gorgeous views of the London Skyline and the Thames. This world-class centre of arts and culture, home of the Royal Festival Hall, can host up to 150 guests for a wedding ceremony in the rooftop pavilion. Whats more, guests booking a wedding between the 1st of November 2018 and the 31st of March 2019 and get 15% off venue hire.

We want to make planning events a joy and a core part of that is pairing people with venues that exceed all their expectations. Whether there's a venue here that looks ideal or you're set on something quirky, the Venue Experts are ready to make booking your wedding venue a breeze.
