The Library

Located on the 1st floor, our Library offers a versatile & exclusive space which is perfect for daytime conferences and evening presentations. Widely used for standing receptions either privately or in conjunction with the adjoining Georgian & Writing Room, dependent on numbers. Alternatively, the Library can be used for smaller meetings accommodating up to 90 guests and providing in-built AV. It is also a great space for a private dinner, exhibitions, board meetings, photoshoots, training and plenty more.

The Writing Room

The Writing Room is our smallest room at the Royal Institution and with its book-lined walls, it provides a traditional feel. The space can be used along with the Library & Georgian Room and creates a perfect flow as these are all connected, accommodating a larger dinner or would be the perfect space for dancing. Usually sold with the Library & Georgian Room this space makes the ideal area for a standing reception / catering space for a daytime conference or evening presentation.

The Conversation Room and Mezzanine

The Conversation Room & Mezzanine offer a quirky and contemporary space for an evening dinner or private lunch. Both located on the ground floor and adjoined, guests can be welcomed to the Mezzanine for an arrival drinks reception and then ushered through to the Conversation Room hosting a more intimate affair for up to 30 guests on a boardroom table or a larger dinner on rounds for up to 96 guests. If you are looking to provide a party after the event, then dancing can take place back out in the Mezzanine or even in our Atrium located on the lower ground floor which the Mezzanine overlooks.

Our spacious & beautifully refurbished theatre is perfect for a whole spectrum of events. The auditorium itself is ideal for conferences, forums, seminars & screening events housing up to 420 guests. Located on the First Floor, this is an ideal hire along with our Library, Georgian & Writing Room which can accommodate refreshments & exhibitors. AV is included in the hire of the theatre and this includes PA system, projector, screen, laptop, up to 10 microphones, audio recording, basic stage lighting, lectern & panel furniture, two comfort monitors, laser pointer/clicker and technician

About Royal Institution Venue

The Royal Institution is a unique & prestigious venue located in the heart of Mayfair. Housing nine remarkable event spaces which boast a variety of graceful Georgian features alongside contemporary design; the Ri offers a 400-seat auditorium with further spaces ideal for presentations, private dining, seminars and receptions. All revenue from our venue hire is donated back into our charity.

Working with our in-house catering supplier, Searcys, we have created a range of innovative and delicious menus to suit all occasions with a focus on providing modern, British & sustainable hospitality.
