Does Riverside Rooms offer dry hire or do they require their own catering?

Riverside Rooms does not offer dry hire. They work exclusively with Seasoned Events who must provide all catering for your event. No other suppliers are allowed to work on the premises unless specifically agreed.

What are the capacity limits for different dining setups at Riverside Rooms?

The Parliament Rooms can accommodate 192 in theatre style and 120 in cabaret. The Westminster Room holds 100 in theatre and 80 in cabaret. For plated meals, the venue can take up to 150 people maximum.

What are the typical pricing ranges for dining events?

For a plated dinner with drinks and venue hire, expect around £24,000 + VAT for 110 people (approximately £218 per person). Standing reception with bowl food and unlimited drinks costs around £17,000 + VAT for 110 people (approximately £155 per person). A 40th birthday party package was quoted at £26,000 + VAT for 5-hour venue hire, food, and drinks.

How long can I hold a provisional booking and what are the booking deadlines?

Provisional bookings are held for up to 1 week unless discussed otherwise. For events happening within two weeks, you must confirm by midday on the Friday before to ensure everything is ready for your event.

What AV equipment is included and what are additional costs?

The venue includes Wi-Fi and a PA system with 2 handheld microphones. Additional AV requirements would cost approximately £4,000 depending on your specific needs.

What spaces are available and how do they connect for dining events?

The venue comprises three function spaces including a soft seating area. The Knott's Library can be used for lunch breaks, coffee breaks, or as a lounge area. The spaces offer perfect flow for arrival drinks, dinner, and breakout areas.

Are there any mandatory charitable donations or additional fees?

Yes, there is an automatic donation of £1 per attendee to either SEA LIFE TRUST or Merlin's Magic Wand Children Charity. This is included in all bookings and you can choose which charity to support.

What is included in the venue hire package?

Venue hire includes exclusive use of The Riverside Rooms, Wi-Fi, occasional and dining furniture, dedicated events manager from planning to delivery, manned cloakroom facility, and event staffing (security, event hosts, and cleaners). The venue is located on the first floor and is accessible by lift with a private loading bay.

What are the operating hours and access arrangements?

The venue can be hired from 9:00am onwards. For filming or special events, discounted rates may apply - for example, a 9:00am-5:00pm filming hire was offered at £800 + VAT (discounted from £3,500 + VAT).

Can I arrange site visits and how far in advance should I book?

Site visits are welcomed at your convenience and can be arranged through the sales team. The venue encourages viewing the space in person before making final decisions, and you should contact them as soon as possible for popular dates.
