The Door

As our smallest auditorium, The Door seats up to 140 theatre style, Perfect for presentations and small conferences. As with our other theatre spaces, the Door has state of the art technology.

Studio Theatre

The Studio is our highly adaptable theatre space and comes equipped with state of the art lighting and sound equipment making it the perfect bank canvas for a truly dramatic event. This versatile space has been used to host a myriad of events including gala dinners, award ceremonies and fashion shows. The space can accommodate up to 240 guests in a banqueting layout.

The Meeting Rooms

With fantastic natural daylight and views over Centenary Square this versatile space can accommodate up to 200 people in a theatre layout, 120 in cabaret or can be split into three separate rooms holding 70 people in a theatre layout or 30 people in a cabaret layout. Each Meeting Room is fully air-conditioned and the dividing walls are soundproofed to ensure privacy.

Situated on Level 1 of the Library our Library Meeting Rooms offer a high spec, flexible meeting space with fantastic natural daylight and views over Centenary Square. Each room comes equipped with a projector and screen or Plasma screen, inbuilt speakers and complimentary wi-fi access.

The House

The heart of the The REP Theatre, The House is our largest auditorium space. If your wedding day required a truly dramatic setting, who better than UVB to give your special celebration the magic it deserves? This space is truly versatile, with the stage being a perfectly quirky space to hold your ceremony, wedding breakfast or evening reception. Share your dreams with us and we'll aim to make your wishes a reality, with a bespoke package to suit your unique style.

Highlight/The Gallery

The Highlight - Drinks receptions for up to 150 people in the Highlight space adjacent to the side terrace, which can be combined with an exclusive viewing of the latest exhibition. Our Gallery exhibitions showcase some of the treasures from the library's world-class archive, heritage and photography collections.

Discovery Terrace

The Discovery Terrace situated provides you and your wedding guests with a beautiful outdoor garden terrace that boasts stunning views across Centenary Square. This is the perfect relaxed location for summer drinks on your wedding day

Shakespeare Memorial Room

This historic room was created the Shakespeare Memorial Room for the city’s Victorian library. Following an impressive restoration by local craftsmen, The Memorial Room is now situated at the very top of The Library of Birmingham. What better space to host small weddings and civil ceremonies (up to 40 people), exclusive dining (up to 20 people), and drinks receptions (up to 45 people) If you're booking this historical venue, you can also enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the city thanks to the exclusive access to the adjoining Skyline Viewpoint.

Situated on Level 1 of the Library, our Library Meeting Rooms offer a high-spec, flexible meeting space with fantastic natural daylight and stunning views over Centenary Square. Ideal for corporate meetings, workshops, and presentations, LOB 103 is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including an LCD projector, plasma screen, inbuilt speakers, and complimentary Wi-Fi access.
