What should I look for when hiring a meeting room?
When hiring a meeting room, there are a few things you should keep in mind. Here are some of the most important factors to consider.
The location of your meeting room is important for two reasons. First, you want to make sure it's close to public transportation so that it's easy to get to. But secondly, you want to make sure it's in a convenient location for your delegates, so it's important to consider where they're coming from. Often, a meeting space in Manchester city centre will be a good shout so that it's a central place for everyone. However, if you have delegates coming from abroad, a meeting room near Manchester airport might be preferable (the third busiest airport in Britain!).
The size of the meeting room is also important to consider. You want to make sure it's large enough to accommodate all your delegates, but not so large that it feels empty - a buzzy atmosphere will help to create a productive environment for your event.
When you're looking for a meeting space, you want to make sure it comes with all the amenities you need, like a projector and microphone. If not, you'll need to source suppliers that can provide these elements for you. Remember that amenities should also include things that will help to create a smooth experience for your delegates, such as cloakrooms, step-free access and parking (if you expect delegates to drive).
Of course, you'll also want to consider the price of any meeting rooms you're considering. You want to make sure a meeting room is within your budget and that you're getting good value for your money.
Finally, be sure to consider the style of the meeting room. You want to make sure it's in line with the image you want to project for your brand and that it's a space your delegates will feel comfortable in. On that note, don't be afraid to think out of the box. A meeting room doesn't have to be a boring, sterile space. There are plenty of unique and interesting meeting rooms in Manchester that will make your meeting stand out.
The benefits of using a meeting room
There are plenty of benefits to using a meeting room. Often, businesses reserve meeting room hire for important external meetings and board meetings. But even holding internal meetings amongst colleagues and team members outside of the office has many benefits, including the following.
- It's a great way to get out of the office and change up the scenery.
- It can help you focus on the task at hand and be more productive.
- It can make your delegates feel more comfortable and relaxed.
- It can give you more space to spread out and make use of all the equipment you need.
- For businesses that operate remotely, it can be more cost-effective than renting a permanent office space.
- Meeting spaces can be hired on a flexible basis, so you only pay for the time you need.
How much does it cost to hire a meeting room in Manchester?
The cost of hiring a meeting room in Manchester will vary depending on the size of the room, the amenities you require, and the length of time you need it for. Pricing will also depend on where in Manchester the meeting room is located - a meeting room located in Manchester city centre will be pricier than one that's a 20-minute taxi-ride away. However, you can expect to pay around £50-£100 per hour for a small meeting room with basic amenities. For a larger meeting room with more amenities, you can expect to pay around £250 per hour. Meeting rooms can also be hired on a half-day or full-day basis, which will often reduce the hourly cost (although of course, you'll end up spending more overall). Ultimately, the cost of hiring a meeting room will depend on your specific needs and budget.

Be on time. First, you want to make sure you're on time. It's important to be respectful of everyone's time and not keep them waiting. Only invite people who need to be there. Meetings can be a great way to get work done, but you don't want to invite more people than necessary. Only invite people who need to be there and who will contribute to the meeting, otherwise they will feel you have wasted their time. Set realistic expectations. Be sure to set realistic expectations - if the meeting is going to be long or complex, it's important to make this clear from the outset so that people can be prepared and factor that into their diary. Be prepared. Prepare materials in advance and make sure you're familiar with the agenda. This will help the meeting run smoothly and ensure that everyone is on the same page. Break the ice. If you're meeting with someone for the first time, be sure to break the ice. This will help everyone feel more comfortable and make for a productive meeting. Give everyone time to talk. Make sure everyone has a chance to voice their opinion. This will help ensure that everyone is on the same page and that all ideas are considered. Respect other people's time. This means not going over the allotted time for the meeting and making sure that everyone has got what they need from the meeting. Put together clear actions. This will help ensure that everyone knows what needs to be done and that the meeting was productive. End on a positive note. Be sure to end the meeting on a positive note. This will leave everyone feeling good about the session and looking forward to the next meeting.
