The Blue Riband Room is the largest events and dining space in the Queen's Stand. It is in the centre of the first floor and has a much loved double aspect view over both the Downs and the London skyline.
It is an ideal space for a Banquet, Birthday Dinner, Christmas Dinner, Dinner Party or Ball. The Blue Riband Room is the perfect Dining Room and is suited for any Dining Event - Corporate or Private.

What is the minimum number of guests required for dining events at Epsom Downs Racecourse?
All dining bookings require a minimum of 50 people. Meeting spaces have a minimum of 30 people, but banqueting specifically requires 50 guests minimum to proceed with a booking.
What are the pricing options for dining events and what do they include?
Day Delegate Rate packages start from £53 per person plus VAT. All-inclusive dining packages are available at £76 per person including VAT, which covers room hire, glass of bubbly on arrival, 3-course seated meal, tea and coffee, staffing and security. You can add half a bottle of wine per person for an additional £18.75 per person.
Can I bring my own caterer or use external catering for dining events?
Epsom Downs does not operate on a pure dry hire basis and external catering is not normally allowed on site. You must use either their in-house catering or one of their contracted preferred caterers who will quote for both room hire and catering as part of their package.
What dining spaces are available and what are their capacities?
The Blue Riband Room is the largest dining space in the Queen's Stand with double aspect views over the Downs and London skyline. The Diomed suite can accommodate up to 500 people in theatre style or 224 people in cabaret style for dining. The Oaks Hall is also available for smaller dining events.
Are there any capacity limitations for large dining events?
The venue cannot accommodate dining events requiring 700 guests with 500 seated, as their kitchen facilities in the largest halls are unable to service these numbers in seated capacity. For events requiring 500+ seated guests, kitchen capacity becomes a limiting factor.
What additional costs should I expect beyond the basic dining package?
Additional costs may include room hire fees (such as £1,000 ex VAT for mezzanine area access), DJ and dance floor at £400 ex VAT, wine upgrades, and main course menu upgrades depending on your selections. All prices quoted are typically excluding VAT unless specifically stated as inclusive.
What facilities and amenities are included with dining bookings?
Dining packages typically include complimentary car parking, dedicated event manager, projector and screen, flipchart and pens, complimentary Wi-Fi, and staffing and security. Some spaces like the Diomed suite include access to a private terrace overlooking the racecourse.
How do I proceed with booking a dining event and arranging catering?
You must first decide which preferred caterer you want to use, then organize the show round with your chosen caterer. The caterers will provide quotes for both room hire and catering as part of their package, and you'll need to arrange availability and site visits directly through them.
